There is no single worldwide date when Honda is axing its motorcycles. The confirmed U.S. announcements establish one specific outgoing-model replacement: the 2026 CRF300F replaces the CRF250F. Honda has also announced several models returning for 2026 and 2027. Separately, Honda Japan maintains a discontinued-model archive, but it does not give individual end dates for the motorcycles listed there.
What Honda has confirmed for the U.S.
American Honda’s announcements concern U.S. model years; they should not be read as a complete discontinuation list for Honda worldwide.
CRF250F: replaced for the 2026 model year
On August 12, 2025, American Honda announced the 2026 CRF300F and described it as replacing the outgoing CRF250F. That establishes the successor and its model year, but not an exact final production date or the date when the last CRF250F will leave dealer inventory. American Honda’s announcement does not specify either date.
Models announced as returning
On February 10, 2026, American Honda announced eight returning two-wheel models for the 2026 and 2027 model years. Its named examples include Africa Twin variants, Trail125, Dax 125, Monkey, Navi, PCX, ADV160 and Montesa Cota variants. The announcement is evidence of those models’ announced returns, not a comprehensive account of which U.S. models are discontinued. See the U.S. return announcement.

On March 24, 2026, American Honda separately announced the Transalp and CRF300L Rally for the 2026 model year. The announcement covers those returns; it does not establish a broader cull.
What Honda Japan’s discontinued-model archive tells you
Honda Japan has an official discontinued-model archive organized by engine-displacement category. It is a historical reference, not a dated announcement that all listed motorcycles are being discontinued now. The archive does not provide an individual last-production or last-sales date for every model.

Honda Japan also publishes a separate current motorcycle lineup, which includes CB1300 SUPER FOUR and CB1300 SUPER BOL D’OR Final Edition variants, as well as CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports ES variants. A model missing from one country’s current lineup is not, by itself, proof of a worldwide discontinuation or a specific end date.

An announcement date is when Honda communicated a status; a model year identifies the version being discussed. Neither automatically gives the date production stops or remaining dealer stock sells out.

What this means if you own or want one
For a U.S. CRF250F, Honda’s announcement confirms a successor for model year 2026 but does not say when the last new CRF250F will be available. Actual dealer stock is a local inventory question; check with a Honda dealer for current availability. For other models, use the relevant country’s Honda announcements and lineup rather than treating a Japanese archive entry or a model’s absence in one market as proof of a global end.
