The six cars on the December 2024 forecast
PakWheels published its forecast on December 16, 2024, attributing the expected models to an unnamed “trusted source.” Its estimated prices were predictions from that date, not confirmed launch prices or current quotations. The table reflects the forecast’s naming, timing and estimates; it does not establish that each model launched in Pakistan in 2025. It also does not provide enough verified, comparable specifications to rank the six cars by value or suitability.
What was officially confirmed during or after 2025?
Honda HR-V e:HEV: confirmed launch in July 2025
Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Limited said it launched the Honda HR-V e:HEV on July 28, 2025. The company described the event as a “First Car Line-Off” ceremony marking localized production, and announced an introductory price of PKR 8,999,000 at launch. That is a dated launch price, not a current quote. Honda’s announcement identifies the locally produced model as the HR-V e:HEV; it is the strongest official confirmation in this forecast comparison. Kia, Hyundai and GWM forecasts: outcomes not established here
The available dated official records do not reconcile the forecasted Sorento Hybrid CKD, fifth-generation Sportage, fourth-generation Tucson, Sonata N Line or Tank 500 HEV to an actual 2025 Pakistan launch. They remain forecast items in this comparison, not confirmed launches. That distinction does not prove a model was absent from the market; it means the forecast alone cannot verify its launch status.
Why a reveal is not the same as a launch
Suzuki Fronx: unveiled in November 2025, launch planned for May 2026
Pak Suzuki said it unveiled the Fronx at PAPS on November 14, 2025, while stating that its official launch was planned for May 2026. The announcement illustrates why an auto-show appearance should not be counted as a retail launch. Read Pak Suzuki’s Fronx announcement.

Deepal S05 REEV: late-2025 debut, later production and delivery
Master Changan’s update says the Deepal S05 REEV debuted at PAPS on November 14, 2025. Its January 2026 page reports volume production and later delivery, so it supports describing the model as a late-2025 debut followed by subsequent production and delivery—not as evidence of a 2025 retail launch. CEO Danial Malik described the company’s approach this way: “With ‘Moving the New Generation,’ our focus is not just on introducing new vehicles, but on bringing meaningful innovation that works for Pakistan.” See Master Changan’s Deepal S05 REEV update.

Pakistan’s passenger-car market was recovering in 2025. VIS Credit Rating Company Limited reported 76,265 passenger cars sold in the first nine months of FY25, up 41% year on year, in its December 10, 2025 sector report. It described an industry led by Pak Suzuki, Indus/Toyota, Honda Atlas, Hyundai, Kia and MG, with EV players such as BYD adding new dynamics. - Confirmed within this comparison: Honda Atlas announced the HR-V e:HEV launch and localized production line-off in July 2025.
- Forecast, not confirmed: The other five names remain expectations here because the records above do not establish their 2025 Pakistan launches.
- Check the launch stage: An announcement, unveiling, production start and customer delivery are different milestones; the Fronx and Deepal examples show why dates and wording matter.
- Treat prices as historical: The six forecast estimates date to December 16, 2024, while Honda’s e:HEV figure was an introductory price announced at launch in July 2025. Neither set should be mistaken for a current dealer quote.
