That date has passed: “this Sunday” referred to the date in a PerthNow preview published on 4 April 2024, not to a recurring event or an upcoming Sunday.
What was scheduled for Supercar Sunday?
PerthNow reported that the free, family-friendly event, sponsored by See Subiaco, was expected to bring close to 100 supercars to Market Square Gardens. The preview named recent models from McLaren, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Aston Martin, and identified the McLaren 750S as the convoy’s lead car.
“Close to 100” was an estimate in the preview, not a confirmed final attendance count. The report does not establish whether the event took place as scheduled or how many cars attended.
What were the announced times and route?
- From 9:30am: Cars were scheduled to start at Market Square Gardens in Subiaco.
- 10:30am: The convoy was scheduled to travel up Rokeby Road.
- After Subiaco: The announced route passed through the Perth Hills and finished at Nikola Estate in the Swan Valley.
These are the times and route in the 2024 preview; it does not independently verify that the convoy followed the plan.
Was Supercar Sunday a recurring event?
The preview concerns a single event scheduled for 7 April 2024. It does not confirm a recurring Sunday schedule or provide a date for a later edition. PerthNow linked to Classic Cars and Coffee for further information at the time, but its article does not establish whether that organization still provides event details.
