The first Xiaomi SU7 display car was reported at the company’s Beijing headquarters store in Shangdi on 29 December 2023, less than a day after Xiaomi unveiled the electric sedan. That store appearance came months before Xiaomi opened orders in China on 28 March 2024. The early reports document a launch-era rollout—not which stores have a car on display today.
When did the Xiaomi SU7 arrive in Xiaomi stores?
Xiaomi unveiled the SU7 on 28 December 2023. The next day, CarNewsChina reported that the first display car had reached the Xiaomi headquarters store in the Xiaomi Science and Technology Park area of Shangdi, Beijing. The report said more displays were expected to follow and described the initial car as a showroom display, not a vehicle available to buy. CarNewsChina’s 29 December 2023 report covers that first appearance.
Gizmochina also reported a display car at the Beijing headquarters store on 31 December 2023. Its account noted that some stores were too small for the vehicle and might need renovation to accommodate displays. Those were expectations reported at the time, not confirmation of how the rollout ultimately proceeded. Gizmochina’s 31 December 2023 report provides that contemporaneous context.
Was the car on display before it went on sale?
Yes. The Beijing appearance followed the December unveiling; Xiaomi did not open China orders until 28 March 2024. On that date, the Associated Press reported announced prices from RMB 215,900 to RMB 299,900. AP also reported Xiaomi’s claim that the SU7 received 50,000 orders in its first 27 minutes. The order figure is attributed to Xiaomi, not an independent audit. The Associated Press report covers the sales opening and pricing.

How many stores were included in Xiaomi’s launch-era plan?
Xiaomi’s March 2024 investor presentation described coverage of 59 stores in 29 cities nationwide and said launch and delivery would take place in parallel. That is a company statement about the rollout period; it is not a present-day showroom inventory or a locator for available display cars. Xiaomi’s 2023 Q4 results presentation contains the dated store-coverage figure.
The same presentation’s headline performance figures apply specifically to the SU7 Max, not every trim. Xiaomi reported 0–100 km/h acceleration in 2.78 seconds, 800 km of range, a 265 km/h top speed, 673 PS maximum horsepower, 838 N·m maximum torque and a 33.3 m braking distance. These are company-reported specifications, not independent test measurements.

Can you see an SU7 at a Xiaomi store now?
The historical reports establish where the first display appeared and describe a launch-era footprint. They do not establish which stores currently have an SU7 on display. The sources also do not provide a current showroom locator. Anyone planning a visit should confirm display availability through a current Xiaomi China store or sales channel first; the 2023–24 rollout figures are not reliable evidence of today’s inventory.
The coverage discussed here concerns China. It does not establish showroom or sales availability in other countries.

What later figures say about the SU7
Xiaomi’s 2026 interim results presentation reported more than 500,000 SU7 vehicles delivered in the 28.5 months after launch. It also reported 104,199 Xiaomi EV deliveries in Q2 2026 in a category covering the SU7 and YU7 series, not the SU7 alone. Separately, Xiaomi cited BitAuto for the claim that the SU7 was the best-selling pure-electric sedan in the first half of 2026 among vehicles priced above RMB 200,000, as of June 2026. These are claims in Xiaomi’s presentation. Xiaomi’s 2026 interim results presentation is the company source for those figures.
Later-model details should not be confused with the car shown in the first 2023 store display. CnEVPost reported in January 2026 that the updated SU7 was in presale, with CLTC range of up to 902 km for the Pro and starting presale prices of RMB 229,900, RMB 259,900 and RMB 309,900 for the Standard, Pro and Max, respectively. Those are updated-model presale details, not specifications or final sale terms for the original display car. CnEVPost’s 7 January 2026 report describes that presale context.
