Unveiled in December 2024, it presented Jaguar’s vision for a new design direction and was intended to inspire future models. The production car that followed is the distinct Type 01, a four-door GT.
What is the Jaguar Type 00 concept?
Jaguar introduced Type 00 in December 2024 as a physical expression of its design vision and broader brand transformation. The reveal showed two interpretations in Miami Pink and London Blue. Jaguar described it as “a concept with bold forms and exuberant proportions to inspire future Jaguar models.” Jaguar’s Type 00 reveal announcement presented the car as a statement of intent, not as a preview of a specified, orderable Type 00 model.
Jaguar’s current Type 00 page explicitly identifies it as a non-production vehicle. That distinction matters: Type 00 has no production specifications to use for range, performance, equipment, or price.
Which design details did Jaguar highlight?
Jaguar’s concept announcement emphasized proportions and surfaces that depart from familiar electric-car styling conventions. The exterior details it called out include:

For the interior, Jaguar described choices intended to engage occupants and extend customization and personalization. Those statements explain the design intent; they do not establish what equipment or customization options a production Jaguar will offer.

Type 00 and Type 01 are related through Jaguar’s design direction, but they are not the same vehicle. Jaguar’s December 2024 announcement said its first reimagined production car would be an electric four-door GT. In October 2026, the company unveiled that production car as Type 01 and identified it as the first production vehicle on its dedicated Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA). Jaguar’s Type 01 announcement gives the following dated plans and UK pricing:

The Type 01 ordering and delivery dates are Jaguar’s expectations as of its October 2026 announcement, not completed milestones. Its price and plans apply to Type 01, not Type 00.
