The Harley-Davidson Raptor is a one-off café racer-style custom built by New Delhi’s TNT Motorcycles on the X 440 platform. It is a display motorcycle, not a production Harley-Davidson model or a bike reported to be for sale. Its standout changes—fabricated subframe, carbon-fiber bodywork and revised riding position—make it a substantial custom build rather than a simple bolt-on conversion.
What is the Harley-Davidson Raptor?
The Raptor began with the Harley-Davidson X 440 and was developed by TNT Motorcycles for a custom-bike showcase. Harley-Davidson India tasked four local builders with creating X440 customs for India Bike Week, according to Cycle Gear’s Common Tread report. TNT frontman Naveen Nandal developed the Raptor concept. TopSpeed’s April 21, 2024 report describes it as a collaboration with Harley-Davidson, built mainly for display.

It should not be confused with the production X 440 or the separate X 440 T variant. The Raptor is a particular custom motorcycle, not a catalog model with established retail availability.

These are reported features of the Raptor itself, not proof that a retail conversion kit or universally compatible parts package exists.
How was the Raptor developed?
Common Tread describes a process that moved from sketches and digital renders to scanning the donor X440, 3D modeling, prototyping and fabrication. CNC work was used for the subframe and brackets. Nandal described the brief this way: “The challenge was to build a café racer based on the X440 platform. A motorcycle that would look muscular and bulky but is super agile and lightweight. A mix of new-school tech and old-school charm,” he says.

That quote states the design goal, not a measured result. TNT’s reported claim that the subframe and ergonomics improve agility is not accompanied by an instrumented comparison or independent ride test.

The Raptor retains the X 440 platform, so the production bike’s specifications offer context for its base. Harley-Davidson India’s current 2026 X 440 page lists these India-market specifications:

The X 440 T is a distinct variant, not an interchangeable specification reference for the Raptor. Harley-Davidson India lists the 2026 X 440 T at 27 HP at 6,000 rpm, 38 Nm and 192 kg running-order weight, with variant-specific equipment including switchable rear ABS, traction control, and road and rain modes. Those details belong to the X 440 T, not automatically to the Raptor’s donor. See Harley-Davidson India’s X 440 T page.

Does the Raptor have more power or better handling?
The available reports do not establish a power gain, a weight reduction, or objectively improved handling for this individual bike. TNT’s agility language is a builder claim and design aim; neither TopSpeed nor Common Tread supplies comparative test data. The reports also do not establish road certification or homologation status for the customized motorcycle.
For model-year context only, Hero MotoCorp’s 2023 X440 owner manual lists 27 bhp at 6,000 rpm, 38 N·m at 4,000 rpm, 440 cc displacement, 79.6 × 88.4 mm bore and stroke, and a 13.5 L tank. Current on-sale specifications are better checked against the manufacturer’s current local-market page rather than treating older manual figures as current for every edition.

Can you buy the Raptor?
No purchase listing or production run is established in the cited reports. TopSpeed says the Raptor is not on sale and was made mainly for display. That does not establish whether TNT would accept a separate commission, so a reader interested in a similar build would need to contact the workshop directly and confirm current services.
The official X 440 pages cited here are for India; they do not establish availability or pricing in other countries. TopSpeed included a 2024 price figure, but it is historical context rather than a current quote. Check the official local-market listing for present availability and price.
What to verify before commissioning a similar build
A Raptor-inspired project depends on the exact donor and the scope of custom work. Before committing to parts or fabrication, establish:

Quick Recap
- Donor identity: Confirm the X 440 model year and variant. Do not assume a component shown on the Raptor fits every production version.
- Fabrication scope: Clarify whether the project requires a new subframe, brackets, bodywork, seat, controls or other custom-made pieces, and obtain a written scope from the builder.
- Ergonomics and serviceability: Check how clip-ons and rear-set controls affect your riding position, and how custom parts may affect routine inspection, repair or replacement.
- Fitment: Get confirmation for each part on the specific motorcycle before buying; the reports do not identify an off-the-shelf Raptor conversion kit.
- Local road rules: Ask the relevant local authority or qualified inspection provider what approvals apply to the planned modifications. The reports do not establish the Raptor’s legal status in any jurisdiction.
- Performance evidence: Treat claims about agility, weight or power as unverified unless the builder can provide relevant measurements or independent testing for the completed bike.
