Safran later described Epsilon 10 units for Griffon multirole armored vehicles and said they can support autonomous operation when GPS is lost or disrupted.
What the 2014 announcement said
The 20 June 2014 listing described Epsilon 10 as Sagem’s new land navigator and said RTD had chosen it for Battlenet Inside, an electronics suite for combat vehicles. That is the extent of the selection detail established by the available account; it does not give an order quantity, contract value, or precise technical specifications. Army Recognition’s 2014 listing is secondary, and the original announcement was not retrieved.
What Epsilon 10 does when GPS is unavailable
Safran Electronics & Defense later characterized Epsilon 10’s role as supporting vehicle autonomy if GPS is lost, jammed, or spoofed. In its 13 June 2016 release, Safran said the units would give multirole armored vehicles the ability to operate autonomously in those circumstances. This is the manufacturer’s capability claim; the cited materials do not provide an independent test, a quantified accuracy figure, or detailed operating limits. Safran’s 2016 announcement
Safran says its navigation units use vibrating-gyro Quapason sensors or hemispherical resonating gyroscopes, depending on the product. The release does not identify which sensor configuration applies to every Epsilon 10 installation, so those technologies should not be treated as interchangeable specifications for a particular vehicle.

How the later Griffon program fits
In 2016, Safran said it would supply Epsilon 10 units for Griffon multirole armored vehicles in France’s Scorpion program. The same release described a separate setup for the Griffon artillery-observation variant: a Safran Paseo optronic payload integrating an inertial navigator derived from the Sigma 20 family. That is a different configuration, not another name for the Epsilon 10 installation.
The release described a plan for 1,688 Griffon VBMR troop-transport vehicles, with deliveries planned from 2018 through 2033. This is the planned quantity and delivery window reported in 2016, not evidence of a final delivered total.
