“Golf Force One” is a press nickname for an armored Polaris Ranger utility vehicle seen accompanying President Donald Trump at Trump Turnberry in Scotland on July 26–27, 2025. A White House spokesperson told The War Zone it was “part of the Presidential fleet of specialty vehicles.” Its armor installer, ballistic rating, exact configuration and price have not been publicly disclosed.
What “Golf Force One” is
The vehicle is reported to be an armored Polaris Ranger utility task vehicle (UTV), not a conventional golf cart or pickup. Photographs showed it accompanying Trump during a golf outing at his Scottish resort over the weekend of July 26–27, 2025. The War Zone’s July 28, 2025 report attributes the fleet description to a White House spokesperson.

“Golf Force One” is a media nickname, not a confirmed official vehicle name. The phrase “safe swings,” used in some coverage, is playful headline language—not an official description or a promise that the vehicle makes golf or its occupants safe.
What is known about the vehicle—and what is not
Platform and modification
Polaris told The War Zone that it made the UTV platform and that another party modified it. The reporting does not identify that modifier. The Secret Service declined to discuss the specific methods used in protective operations.

Armor and ballistic rating
The vehicle-specific reports do not state a ballistic rating, test standard, or which weapons or threats the armor can resist. Calling it “bulletproof” without qualification goes beyond the public information: “armored UTV” is the more accurate description. An armor label alone does not establish protection against every kind of weapon or attack.
Exact model and configuration
Reporting refers to a Ranger but does not establish the exact trim or conversion fitted to the Turnberry vehicle. Polaris’ current Ranger lineup includes multiple utility models, and a current lineup cannot identify the configuration of a vehicle seen in 2025.

Installer and price
The War Zone reported that Scaletta Armoring offered a GSA-listed add-on armor kit for a Polaris XP 1000 Ranger UTV at nearly $190,000. That was the reported price of a comparable kit—not a confirmed price for Trump’s vehicle. The linked GSA catalog page returned a 404 when checked, so its present availability and price are not independently confirmed. The report also named MacGyver Solutions as a maker of similar protected Ranger UTVs; its founder said he did not know who supplied the Turnberry vehicle’s armor. Neither company is established as its builder.
Why a protective UTV might be on a golf course
A compact utility vehicle can travel across course terrain and could give a protective detail nearby transport. That is a plausible explanation, not a publicly stated Secret Service account of this vehicle’s particular role. The War Zone also noted that a heavy vehicle and its tires can matter on manicured turf; the public reporting does not disclose how the Turnberry vehicle was configured for course use.

There is documented security context at a different Trump golf course. In its account of the September 15, 2024 incident at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, the U.S. Department of Justice said an agent conducting a perimeter sweep saw a rifle barrel aimed at him and fired. That account helps explain why golf-course security can involve protective measures, but it does not establish that the 2024 incident caused the UTV’s appearance in Scotland in 2025.

- Who installed the armor on the Turnberry UTV.
- Its ballistic rating, test results, or specific threat protection.
- The exact Ranger trim, armor package, or complete vehicle configuration.
- What the presidential vehicle cost or the precise operational role it served.
The vehicle’s appearance and reported fleet status are public; those technical and operational details are not. The Secret Service’s position, quoted by The War Zone, was that it does not discuss the specific means and methods used in protective operations.
