What makes the Ferrari F80 a hybrid supercar?
Ferrari announced the F80 on 17 October 2024 as a new supercar. Its powertrain pairs a V6 engine with hybrid technology, and Ferrari gives its combined maximum power as 1,200 hp. At the time of the announcement, the company described it as the most powerful road car ever to come out of its factory. Ferrari said the F80 would be produced in a limited run of 799 examples. That is the announced planned production total; it does not establish how many remain available or whether production has finished.
Why newer Ferrari hybrids do not change the answer
“Latest” can mean newest hybrid Ferrari introduced, or the newest model Ferrari places in its Supercar category. The 849 Testarossa family
Ferrari’s 2025 annual report records the 849 Testarossa and 849 Testarossa Spider as V8 hybrid Range models. Their later launch does not make them the company’s Supercar-category model.
The 296 Speciale family
Ferrari announced the 296 Speciale on 29 April 2025 as a plug-in hybrid berlinetta and a special version of the 296 GTB. What the published figures do—and do not—tell you
The F80’s 1,200 hp figure and Ferrari’s 799-example production plan describe the manufacturer’s announcement, not a measured road-test result or a count of cars still available. The cited material does not establish a current retail price, delivery dates, buyer access, remaining allocations, or independent comparative performance figures. Those details should not be inferred from the model’s launch specifications or category.
