There is no single fair price for a used Tata Tiago across India. CarDekho’s 2026 listings ranged from ₹1.11 lakh to ₹8.50 lakh, but that span combines different years, variants, locations and vehicle conditions—and shows asking prices, not completed sales. A useful offer starts with nearby cars that match the Tiago you are considering, then adjusts for its verified condition and paperwork.
What do used Tata Tiagos cost in current listings?
CarDekho displayed 940 used Tiago listings when accessed in 2026, with asking prices from ₹1.11 lakh to ₹8.50 lakh. That national range is too broad to value one car: it mixes model years, trims, fuel types, transmissions, mileage and condition. The listings do not show what buyers ultimately paid.

How to estimate a fair offer for the specific car
- Match the specification. Start with the same model or registration year, trim, fuel type—petrol, CNG or diesel where relevant—and transmission, such as manual or AMT. Compare cars with broadly similar odometer readings.
- Keep the comparison local. Look at listings in the same city or nearby markets, and note whether each seller is an owner or dealer. Asking prices vary by location and seller type; a dealer listing is not automatically a better-value or more reliable car.
- Check the history and the vehicle. Review service records and paperwork, inspect the car, and test-drive it. Verify that the odometer reading and the car’s visible condition make sense together.
- Price identified defects, not assumptions. If inspection finds a fault or wear item, get a repair estimate and use that documented cost in negotiation. The available sources do not establish a universal rupee deduction for high mileage, repainting, tyre wear, accident history or missing service records.
- Compare several close matches. Use more than one comparable listing where possible. Record the meaningful differences—owners, service history, insurance and condition—rather than treating a higher trim or lower mileage alone as proof that an asking price is fair.
How much weight should an online valuation carry?
Orange Book Value’s displayed calculator examples offer another reference point, but each depends on its selected assumptions. When accessed in 2026, its 2025 Tiago result showed a dealer-sale, good-condition range of ₹6,69,873–₹7,11,309. A separate displayed scenario for a 2023 XM CNG in Delhi, dealer sale, good condition and 45,000 km showed ₹5,33,155–₹5,66,133. Orange Book Value’s pages could not be opened directly, so treat these as calculator outputs shown in search results, not independently confirmed market facts or transaction prices.
To use a valuation, set the closest available year, variant, location, seller type, mileage and condition. Check that the assumptions describe the car you are buying; a result for another configuration may not be a useful comparison. How should new-car prices affect your comparison?
Autocar India lists the 2026 Tiago at ₹4.77 lakh–₹8.62 lakh ex-showroom. Tata Motors notes that its displayed ex-showroom prices can change and recommends confirming exact prices with a dealer. These new-car figures provide context only: used on-road prices can include location-specific charges, so do not compare them directly as if they were the same price basis.

What paperwork is required to transfer ownership?
Parivahan’s guidance says the seller must give notice of the sale using Form 29 and the buyer must apply to transfer ownership using Form 30. The stated application deadlines are 14 days for a same-state registration transfer and 45 days for an inter-state case. Fees and some supporting documents depend on the applicable rules and state, so confirm the requirements for the vehicle’s registration before completing the sale.

What the available price evidence cannot tell you
The cited listing and valuation pages do not establish an authoritative national average completed sale price for a used Tiago, a statistically fair price band, or a depreciation percentage. They also do not establish comparative reliability. Treat asking prices and calculator estimates as reference points; the exact car’s records, inspection findings and local comparable listings are what make an offer more defensible.
