A Lamborghini Huracán crashed on Egypt’s Suez Road on April 27, 2019, and was reported to have split into two. The driver reportedly suffered minor bruises, and no deaths were reported. The account of how the crash happened came from an unnamed security source and was preliminary—not a confirmed final finding.
Where and when did the crash happen?
Egyptian outlet Masrawy reported that the crash took place on Saturday, April 27, 2019, on the Suez Road in the Shorouk district. The Supercar Blog published an English-language report about the incident on May 7, 2019. This is the Egypt crash, not the separate 2025 Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato crash in Laredo, Texas.
What was reported about the crash?
Masrawy, citing an unnamed Cairo security source, said an initial examination and inquiry indicated that the driver lost control at high speed, the car overturned several times, and the vehicle split into two. Masrawy reported that the driver sustained minor bruises and that there were no deaths. These details describe a preliminary, anonymously attributed account; the reviewed reports do not establish a final investigative cause.
What is known—and not known—about the car and investigation?
Carscoops said the separation appeared to be behind the passenger cell, but its account relied on the same local report rather than an independently verified cause. The reviewed reporting does not identify the driver, establish the Huracán’s model year or trim, provide a final police report, or give a measured speed. The available reports also do not support conclusions about the crash’s exact dynamics, the car’s safety performance, or the design intent of its structure.

What did a Huracán cost in Egypt at the time?
Masrawy gave a starting price of $390,000, approximately 6.7 million Egyptian pounds, for a Huracán in the Egyptian market in 2019. That historical figure is not a current price and is not an appraisal of the crashed car.
