Ford and Jeep each brought an indoor off-road experience to the 2026 Detroit Auto Show. Ford’s display featured Bronco models, including the Bronco RTR and Bronco Raptor, while Jeep’s included an indoor course for test rides and the Jeep Recon. The show coverage documents what visitors could see and experience—not a measured contest between the vehicles.
When the 2026 Detroit Auto Show was open
The show was open to the public from January 17 through January 25, 2026, according to Tom Murphy’s January 23, 2026, TopSpeed article hosted by AOL: “Ford And Jeep Play Off-Road Hardball At 2026 Detroit Auto Show”.
What Ford presented
Bronco RTR and Bronco Raptor
Ford’s off-road presence centered on Bronco coverage. The Bronco RTR was a prominent feature, and the Bronco Raptor also appeared. The article describes an indoor test-drive setup; it does not establish that every displayed Bronco was available to drive.
What Jeep presented
Indoor course and Jeep Recon
Jeep’s display included an indoor course for test rides, as well as the Jeep Recon. The coverage does not provide technical specifications for the Recon or details about the course’s obstacles or ride conditions.

What the show coverage does—and does not—compare
The event offered a way to see Ford and Jeep off-road vehicles and experiences indoors, but the article is display and gallery coverage rather than a vehicle evaluation. It reports no measured Ford-versus-Jeep test, model specifications, prices, or ranked recommendation. The Bronco RTR, Bronco Raptor, and Recon are examples from the coverage, not a complete inventory of either brand’s show display.
