Elon Musk reportedly urged Tesla employees to keep their company shares during an all-hands message, telling them: “What I’m saying is — hang on to your stock.” That account comes from a March 21, 2025, Futurism report; it is not a verified transcript or a newly confirmed statement.
What Musk reportedly said
In a report published March 21, 2025, Joe Wilkins of Futurism attributed the appeal to Musk during a Tesla employee all-hands message. The article quotes him as saying, “What I’m saying is — hang on to your stock.”
The wording in the report is an account of the remarks, not independently confirmed verbatim speech: the source cited here provides no recording or transcript. “Begs” is the headline’s characterization; the quoted sentence is the reported wording.
Why employee stock is part of the story
Futurism reported that Tesla employees had received stock awards as part of annual salary adjustments and that the company announced a company-wide halt to equity awards in 2023. Those are historical claims in the article. They do not establish Tesla’s current equity-award policy.

- Boy's model toy car: The body is made of alloy material, with exquisite paint craftsmanship and good durability.
- Realistic alloy model car: The 1:32 interior decoration is realistic, with six doors that can be opened. The steering wheel and seats have simulated designs.
- Toy car with lights and music: Opening the car door can light up the lights and simulate the sound of an engine starting. It's a toy car that boys like.
- Companion to Decoration and Cake Decorations: It plays a great decorative role on display cabinets at home and is a great decoration for boys' birthday cake parties.
- Gift selection for toy cars for boys aged 3-12: This gift is suitable for children aged 3 and above and is a collectible for car enthusiasts.
The report also situated Musk’s appeal amid concerns about Tesla’s business, its stock, and public response. Its discussion of how employee equity might relate to labor organizing is the author’s interpretation, not an independently verified finding. These points should be read as context and analysis offered in that March 2025 article, rather than as confirmation of present-day company or labor conditions.
What the report does—and does not—establish
- Reported: Musk appealed to employees to hold their Tesla stock, according to Futurism’s March 21, 2025 account.
- Not verified by the cited report: the remarks through a primary recording or transcript.
- Not established as current: Tesla’s equity-award policy or the company’s present financial and labor conditions.
So the headline describes a dated, attributed report about an employee message—not a newly verified announcement or evidence of Tesla’s current stock policy.
