Dodge has not documented a specific original meaning for its three shapes or the coined name. Today, the brand gives the returning badge a clear role: a link between Dodge heritage and next-generation performance, appearing on both electric Daytona and gasoline-powered SIXPACK Charger models.
What is the Fratzog logo?
Dodge describes the Fratzog as three delta-shaped elements arranged in an equilateral triangle. The automaker characterizes its look as futuristic and aerospace-inspired, but that description of the design does not establish that the shapes originally encoded a particular idea. Dodge’s 2026 Charger design account traces its first use on Dodge muscle cars to 1962–1976.

What does the Fratzog mean?
There is an important distinction between the emblem’s original use and Dodge’s current interpretation. The brand’s August 2022 Charger Daytona SRT concept announcement says the three-pointed emblem had been used from 1962 to 1976 “without any meaning or context” before its return. The official accounts cited here do not establish that the original three shapes stood for specific values, components or technologies, nor do they explain the origin of the word “Fratzog.”

For the revived badge, Dodge does offer a contemporary interpretation: in 2022 it presented the Fratzog as a sign of the brand’s electrified future and performance heritage. Its 2026 design account calls it a symbol of Dodge’s next-generation performance vehicles. That modern role is brand messaging, not proof of a hidden original meaning.
#1 Best Overall
- THE FRATZOG — The three-pointed emblem Dodge wore from 1962 to 1976, known to Mopar people by a name that means nothing and everything. Made for classic Dodge owners and anyone who knows the name.
- TWO SIDES, TWO LOOKS — The front carries the Fratzog in silver on black; flip it over and the back reads DODGE in block lettering.
- ONE KEYCHAIN PER ORDER, NOT TWO — The photos show the front and the back of the same keychain. You receive one, fitted with a metal split ring and a short link chain that attach to keys, a bag or a lanyard.
- 1.75 INCH ROUND METAL DISC — Metal with a domed epoxy gel coating that protects the artwork and gives it a glossy, raised finish. 1.75 inches across and 1/16 inch thick: solid in the hand, slim in a pocket.

How the Fratzog connects old and new Mopar muscle
The emblem’s significance is continuity through reinvention. Its first documented period on Dodge muscle cars was 1962–1976; its current appearance ties that heritage to the new Charger range. Fabio Catone, Head of Brand for Dodge in Europe, described the approach this way: “The design of the new Charger is about respect and reinvention,” in the July 2026 design account.
The badge is not limited to electric models. Dodge’s 2026 account describes Daytona as the name for all-electric Chargers and SIXPACK for gasoline-powered models, and identifies the Fratzog as an exterior feature across both.

Where the Fratzog appears on the current Charger
Dodge says the modern emblem is illuminated at the center of the Charger’s full-width front lighting and rear “ring of fire” lamps. It also appears on the wheel center caps. These specific placements are documented for Daytona and SIXPACK models in Dodge’s design account.
Fratzog graphics and options
Dodge and Mopar list distinct Fratzog-themed appearance products. Their stated applications differ, so check the model and equipment details rather than assuming one graphic fits every Charger.
