That smaller footprint evokes one appeal of classic “Westys,” but the SRT is a Ram ProMaster-based full-size van—not a modern Vanagon or a direct recreation of an older Westfalia. It seats four, sleeps up to four, and has a fixed roof rather than the Wave Pop-Top’s pop-up roof.
What makes the Wave SRT closer to the classic Westy idea?
For shoppers who associate “Westy” with a camper that feels manageable on the road and at a campsite, the SRT’s main connection is its shorter overall body. New Atlas describes it as a right-sized family camper and says it gives up 14 inches of length compared with longer Wave models. A shorter rear overhang can help when maneuvering through tight turns and parking spaces.
That is a comparison of footprint and usability, not lineage or capability: the SRT is built on a Ram ProMaster 3500, and New Atlas notes that the platform lacks all-wheel drive. It is not an off-road expedition van, nor is it a direct modern version of the classic Vanagon camper. New Atlas’s Wave SRT overview provides the independent comparison.
How large is the Westfalia Wave SRT?
Westfalia Americas lists the SRT at 19 feet 7 inches (5,969 mm) long, 6 feet 11 inches (2,108 mm) wide, and 9 feet 5 inches (2,870 mm) high. It uses the 159-inch-wheelbase Ram ProMaster 3500 on the shorter 235-inch body; the chassis/body measurement is not the same as the SRT’s full exterior length.

These are figures published on Westfalia Americas’ Wave SRT page, accessed in 2026. The carrying-capacity figure is worth checking against the label and final configuration of the specific vehicle: occupants, installed options, water, propane, and luggage all count toward the load.
Does it have a pop-top, and how many people can it carry?
No. New Atlas says the SRT does not offer the pop-up roof available on the Wave Pop-Top. The SRT instead has a fixed roof, with Westfalia listing 6 feet 2 inches of interior standing height.

Westfalia lists seating for four, including two child-seat anchors, and sleeping space for up to four. The rear bed measures 71 by 55 inches and can expand to 66 inches wide with an optional center cushion. A 39-by-69-inch front bench converts to a bed; New Atlas notes that this smaller sleeping space is best suited to children.
What does the SRT offer for camping?
The SRT combines a wet bath and 12-volt compressor refrigerator with a standard two-burner propane stove. Westfalia lists 145 liters (38.3 US gallons) of fresh-water capacity, a 600-amp lithium battery, a 3,000-watt inverter, 300 watts of solar, and an included under-hood generator.

Westfalia also describes an exterior propane quick-connect for an outdoor grill or stove. Before pairing a portable propane grill, confirm that its connector, regulator, and pressure requirements match the specific vehicle and grill documentation.
How does it compare with the Wave Pop-Top and Wave Skylight?
The SRT is the shorter Wave choice in the comparison reported by New Atlas. The earlier Wave models use a 249-inch ProMaster body with the same 159-inch wheelbase; the SRT uses the shorter 235-inch body. Westfalia’s published 19-foot-7-inch figure is the SRT’s total exterior length, not the chassis/body measurement.

The SRT suits buyers who prioritize a shorter exterior and do not need a pop-up roof. If a pop-top is central to the trip or sleeping setup, compare the Pop-Top directly with the SRT’s fixed-roof layout; the cited sources do not establish a full feature-by-feature comparison for the Skylight.

Westfalia Americas’ page, accessed in 2026, displays a starting MSRP of CAD $186,000. Separately, New Atlas reported a US$160,550 starting price around 2025. The currencies, dates, and pricing contexts differ, so neither figure should be treated as a current US dealer quote. Ask a US Westfalia dealer for current pricing, options, inventory, and delivery timing.

- Payload: Compare the 1,629 lb (739 kg) US occupant and cargo carrying capacity published by Westfalia with the actual vehicle’s label and configuration. Include occupants, options, water, propane, and cargo in the calculation.
- Warranty: Westfalia describes a two-year comprehensive model warranty with no mileage limit and two years of roadside assistance. Its page presents Ram chassis coverage separately, but the stated bumper-to-bumper term is incomplete; get the current warranty document or written dealer confirmation before relying on a duration.
- Price and availability: Confirm the US price, included equipment, available options, stock, and expected delivery directly with a dealer; the Canadian MSRP and historical US report do not answer those current questions.
- Propane accessories: If you plan to use the exterior quick-connect, verify connector, regulator, and pressure compatibility with the exact grill or stove.
