Those are reported figures for one modified car—not BMW factory specifications or a promise of what another 330e can do.
What the Autobahn video report says
BMWBLOG’s July 26, 2022 article, “BMW 330e Upgraded To 420 HP Goes Flat Out On The Autobahn”, credits AutoTopNL / YouTube and describes the car as a Stage 1-modified 330e. BMWBLOG says the video run reached 263 km/h (163 mph). That is the speed the article attributes to the run, not an independently documented test result.
The report gives two different high-speed figures: it says the video shows 263 km/h, while listing 255 km/h as the modified car’s top speed. It does not explain the difference or provide a measurement method, so the figures should not be combined into one verified maximum-speed specification.
How BMWBLOG’s tuned-car figures compare with factory references
BMWBLOG reports 420 hp and 720 Nm for the modified car, compared with the 292 hp and 420 Nm series figures cited in its article. It also reports a 0–100 km/h time of 4.9 seconds for the tuned car. These are BMWBLOG’s claims about the featured vehicle; the article does not name the tuning company, identify a specific kit, or describe the test conditions.

The comparison uses distinct markets and specifications. BMW’s 2021 US release describes the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and electric motor, a 12 kWh gross (9.09 kWh net) battery, and US performance figures. BMW Germany’s current G20 technical-data page provides a separate German-market factory reference. Neither establishes the exact year, market, or configuration of the Autobahn car.
What the numbers do—and do not—show
- Power and torque: 420 hp and 720 Nm are figures BMWBLOG attributes to the tuned car, not factory ratings verified by BMW.
- Acceleration: BMWBLOG reports 4.9 seconds from 0–100 km/h for the modified car. BMW’s US release gives 0–60 mph figures for a different market and model-year reference, so those times are not a like-for-like comparison.
- Top speed: 263 km/h is the run speed reported in BMWBLOG’s description; 255 km/h is the separate modified top-speed figure in that article. The report does not reconcile them.
- Repeatability and ownership implications: The article does not establish the tune’s hardware or software, fuel, dyno conditions, reliability, warranty status, local legality, or whether another car would reproduce the figures.
Why this is not a factory 330e performance claim
BMW’s factory specifications vary by market and model year. The 2021 US figures include XtraBoost and tire-dependent electronic speed limits; the current German G20 data lists 215 kW (292 PS), 420 Nm, and a 230 km/h maximum. They are useful reference points, but neither can be substituted for the unidentified car in the video. The reported tune is aftermarket, and BMW is not presented as endorsing it.

Nor does a single video run establish a generally safe or legal Autobahn speed. BMWBLOG attributes the clip to AutoTopNL, but its article does not describe independent instrumentation or test controls. Treat the speed as what the report says the video showed, not as a recommendation to reproduce it on public roads.
