No official evidence supports a 2024 Lexus LFA with 900 hp or a hybrid powertrain. Lexus’s U.S. 2024 model-year lineup does not list an LFA; the original production LFA was a limited-run V10 supercar, while the later LFA Concept is a battery-electric concept. Those are separate cars from different periods—not a 2024 hybrid model.
Is there a 2024 Lexus LFA?
Lexus’s U.S. 2024 model-year lineup does not include an LFA. That page is specific to the U.S. lineup; it does not establish whether a privately advertised vehicle exists in another market. But it provides no basis for describing a factory 2024 LFA as a production model.

The headline’s “900-HP Hybrid” description is likewise unsupported by the official Lexus material cited here. Lexus’s historical specifications identify the original LFA as a V10 car, and Lexus identifies the later LFA Concept as a BEV concept—not a hybrid.
What the original Lexus LFA was
The production LFA was a rear-wheel-drive supercar powered by a naturally aspirated 4.8-liter V10 developed with Yamaha. Lexus UK lists 552 bhp at 8,700 rpm, 480 Nm at 6,800 rpm, a 9,000-rpm maximum engine speed and a six-speed automated sequential gearbox. Its published performance figures are 0–62 mph in 3.7 seconds and a 202 mph maximum speed. These are Lexus UK’s historical specifications, with the units and market context preserved.

Lexus Europe’s anniversary account gives the engine output as 560 DIN hp. That is a different regional unit convention from Lexus UK’s 552 bhp figure; neither figure describes a 900-hp hybrid.
The LFA program began as an R&D project in 2000, according to Lexus. Its first prototype was completed in 2003, and production was confirmed at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show. Manufacturing began at Motomachi at the end of 2010, with production limited to 500 cars. Lexus’s historical materials also document a rear transaxle gearbox and carbon-fiber construction.

How the original LFA differs from the LFA Concept
The LFA Concept is a later, separate vehicle announcement. Lexus calls it a battery-electric vehicle (BEV) concept, not a hybrid and not a 2024 production LFA. Lexus says its exterior and interior had been shown as the Lexus Sport Concept at 2025 events. The announcement connects the concept’s development context with Toyota Gazoo Racing’s GR GT and GR GT3, but that shared context does not change the stated BEV powertrain.

Lexus UK gives the concept’s partial dimensions as 4,690 mm long, 2,040 mm wide, 1,196 mm high, with a 2,725 mm wheelbase and seating for two. These are concept figures, not confirmed specifications for a production car.

What the 900-hp hybrid claim gets wrong
- “2024 Lexus LFA”: the U.S. 2024 lineup page does not list one.
- “900 hp”: the official LFA sources cited here do not substantiate this output for either the original car or the later concept.
- “Hybrid”: the original LFA is specified with a naturally aspirated V10; the later concept is identified as a BEV.
Do not treat the concept’s existence as evidence of a production date, a confirmed power figure or a hybrid variant. Lexus’s cited announcement identifies a concept and provides partial specifications, not production plans or a 900-hp rating.
