Why the “new SUV every year” claim is not verified
The annual report does not mention annual vehicle replacement, a mileage allowance, a monthly price, a contract length, or what happened at the end of a term. Treat the 2018 program as historical. Nothing in the report shows that Care by Volvo, or these terms, are offered today. Any current subscription or lease has to be judged on its own paperwork.

- Get the written offer or contract. A brochure or website summary is not enough. Ask the seller for the document that you would sign.
- Find the total upfront cost. Look for any deposit, first payment, registration, delivery or activation fee, and whether these are one-time or recurring.
- Find the monthly cost and what it includes. Confirm whether insurance, maintenance, tyres, roadside assistance and taxes are part of the fee or charged separately.
- Find the commitment period. Confirm the minimum term and what you pay if you end early.
- Find the mileage allowance and the excess charge. Check the annual limit and the per-mile or per-kilometre charge for going over it.
- Find the vehicle-change rules. Confirm how often you may switch vehicles, whether a switch is guaranteed or subject to availability, and whether you pay a fee or a difference in payments to switch.
- Find the end-of-term terms. Confirm what happens when the term ends: whether you return the car, buy it, or renew, and what condition charges apply.
Subscription versus conventional lease: what to compare
