Is the Volkswagen ID.2 available to buy?
No sale or ordering status is established by Volkswagen’s cited announcements. The ID. 2all was introduced as a concept on 15 March 2023 and was explicitly marked not available for sale. In September 2025, Volkswagen announced that the show car’s series-production name would be ID. Polo, with the first model planned from 2026. That plan does not establish whether the production car is now on sale in a particular country.
Volkswagen’s naming and timing announcements evolved: the 2023 announcement said the production version would be presented in 2025; in March 2025, the company said the ID. 2all would launch in the €25,000 class in 2026; and in September 2025 it said the first ID. Polo would launch from 2026. These are announcements and plans, not confirmation of a current order book.

What range and performance did Volkswagen publish for the concept?
Volkswagen’s 2023 technical data listed approximately 450 km of projected WLTP range, 166 kW / 226 PS, and a 0–100 km/h time of under seven seconds. Volkswagen notes that projected WLTP range may vary with equipment. These are company-published concept figures, not certified results or confirmed specifications for a production ID. Polo.

The concept’s published dimensions were 4,050 mm long, 1,812 mm wide, and 1,530 mm high, with a 2,600 mm wheelbase. Volkswagen listed storage volume of 490–1,330 litres and 225/40 R20 wheels. Those figures describe the show car; they should not be treated as production-car measurements.

What is known—and not known—about the production ID. Polo?
Volkswagen has announced the ID. Polo name and a planned launch from 2026, but the cited materials do not establish final production specifications, a current retail price, or availability in a particular market. The ID. 2all figures are therefore useful as an indication of Volkswagen’s concept and stated ambitions, not as a basis for choosing or ordering a production car.
