Bruder’s EXP-8 is an off-road, off-grid expedition trailer built around a large battery system, substantial water capacity and manufacturer-designed air suspension. Its detailed video, published on 2 December 2022, offers a visual tour of the trailer; Bruder’s capability claims are manufacturer statements, not independently verified test results.
What Bruder’s EXP-8 video shows
Bruder’s video presents the EXP-8 as “The ultimate off-road, off-grid trailer” designed for “all seasons and all environments,” according to the company’s description. New Atlas’s 9 December 2022 account describes footage of remote terrain, the family-sized interior and the trailer’s air-adjustable suspension. Those scenes provide context for the design, but they do not establish how the EXP-8 performs against competitors or under independent testing.
The EXP-8 is a trailer, not a self-propelled camper. The video’s headline-style description as one of the biggest or baddest off-road campers should be read as promotional framing: the available specifications do not establish a size or capability ranking.
Off-grid systems and interior equipment
Bruder’s current product page lists a 48 V electrical architecture, 20 kWh battery, 5,000 W inverter, 1,600 W solar bank and touchscreen power management. Solar capacity is not consistent across the published page variants: one version showed 1,680 W. Treat the wattage as build- and listing-dependent, and confirm the specification for the particular trailer.

The equipment list also includes a 350 L water tank, a 188 L fridge-freezer, a queen bed, ducted air-conditioning, diesel-powered heating and hot water, a wet room, and internal and external showers. These are Bruder-listed features, not independent findings about real-world capacity or performance. Optional equipment includes a generator and recovery items such as MaxTrax, a shovel and an axe; confirm the build sheet to distinguish included equipment from options.
Suspension and published dimensions
Bruder lists its own air-suspension design with eight mono-tube remote-canister shock absorbers. Its 2025 brochure describes auto-levelling and 12 inches of adjustability. These are published design specifications; they do not by themselves demonstrate a comparative advantage or prove performance in a particular terrain.

The manufacturer publishes a body length of 5,844 mm and total length of 7,089 mm. It lists 2,800 kg tare and 3,500 kg ATM. Tare can vary with options and build, and Bruder warns that specifications may change, so use the specific trailer’s current documentation when checking tow-vehicle capacity, payload or storage constraints.
Published price indications and regional terms
Bruder’s product page lists these starting-price indications, accessed in 2026. They are not directly equivalent because the included taxes and delivery terms differ; confirm current pricing and the terms for your destination with Bruder.

How to interpret the EXP-8’s capability claims
Bruder markets the EXP-8 for extreme terrain, off-grid travel and four-season use, and calls it the “world’s most advanced” off-road caravan in product materials. Those are company claims. The available coverage and manufacturer materials do not provide an independent comparative test, so they cannot support a best-in-class verdict. The video is most useful as a visual overview of the layout and stated design; buyers should assess the exact build, towing requirements, local support and current specification directly with Bruder.
