Verge Motorcycles presented its TS Pro electric motorcycle at CES 2026 with an all-solid-state battery supplied by Donut Lab. Verge calls it the “world’s first” solid-state motorcycle, but that priority claim—and the battery’s headline performance figures—has not been independently established by the sources available.
What Verge announced at CES 2026
The motorcycle is the Verge TS Pro. Verge identifies its battery as an all-solid-state battery by Donut Lab and uses the product-page line “The First Solid-State Battery in Motorcycling.” That is the company’s positioning, not an independent finding that no other qualifying motorcycle exists. Verge’s TS Pro product page and India Today’s CES coverage identify the model and announcement.

Solid-state describes the battery technology Verge and Donut Lab say they are using; it does not, by itself, establish how the battery performs in real-world riding. No independently conducted laboratory report or peer-reviewed study among the sources reviewed validates the battery’s chemistry or the company’s headline metrics.
Battery sizes and claimed range
Verge lists two TS Pro battery configurations. The ranges below are manufacturer estimates, not independent road-test results. Verge cautions that estimated range depends on calculation assumptions and can vary with riding patterns and external conditions. Verge’s product page and FAQ provide the figures and caveat.

- 【PRE-PURCHASE REMINDER】This product for Verge Motorcycles TS Pro 2023–2026. Please check the size of this product before placing your order to ensure it meets your requirements, so as to avoid affecting your shopping experience due to size issues.
- 【STAY FOCUSED WITH A MORE STABLE HOLD】A phone mount should keep your screen where you expect it—not constantly shake, shift, or require readjustment. The upgraded dual-rod base creates a more secure mounting structure, helping keep your smartphone steady while you navigate, check directions, or stay connected on the move.
- 【ADJUST THE FIT TO YOUR PHONE】The adjustable holder gives you room to fine-tune the grip for different smartphone sizes. With an adjustable width of up to 100 mm / 3.94 in and an inner width of approximately 50 mm / 1.97 in, the design provides flexible positioning without forcing your phone into a fixed-size cradle.
- 【CUSHIONED CONTACT FOR EVERYDAY PROTECTION】Built-in cushioning creates a softer contact point between the mount and your device. Instead of relying entirely on hard surfaces, the padded grip helps reduce direct contact and vibration while keeping your phone securely positioned during regular use.
- 【KEEP ESSENTIAL PORTS WITHIN REACH】A smart mount should not make your phone harder to use. The open-sided design leaves important areas accessible, allowing convenient access to buttons, speakers, headphones, charging connections, and calls while the device remains mounted.
| Battery capacity | Verge’s claimed maximum range |
|---|---|
| 20.2 kWh | Up to 217 miles |
| 33.3 kWh | Up to 370 miles |
Because the cited figures are manufacturer estimates and the sources do not provide a standardized independent range test, they should not be treated as directly comparable with measured range figures for other motorcycles.
Charging: what Verge claims
Verge advertises charging in under 10 minutes at up to 200 kW. It also says the larger battery can gain up to 186 miles in that interval. These are manufacturer claims, not independently verified charging results; actual time and added range depend on charger power, battery configuration and conditions. Verge’s FAQ discusses Type 2 and DC charging, but a Type 2 AC cable is not DC fast-charging equipment. Check the connector and regional configuration for the motorcycle and charger before choosing charging equipment. Verge’s product page and FAQ

Donut Lab’s figures reported by IAA MOBILITY include 400 Wh/kg, a five-minute full charge and 100,000 charge cycles. IAA MOBILITY attributes these figures to Donut Lab; they should be read as company claims, not validated test results. IAA MOBILITY’s CES 2026 roundup
In a later report, New Atlas described a Donut Lab charging demonstration in which an 18-kWh pack reportedly went from 10% to 50% in five minutes while drawing more than 100 kW. That is a reported company test, not evidence that the broader claims about cycle life, energy density or a full charge have been independently confirmed. New Atlas’s report
Motor, design and reported performance
Verge advertises a hubless rear-wheel motor and 737 lb-ft of torque. India Today reported 102 kW peak power and a claimed 0–100 km/h time of 3.5 seconds. These are manufacturer or event-coverage figures, not independently measured results. Verge’s product page; India Today
Price and expected availability
Verge’s current US product page lists a starting price of $29,900 and expected availability for the US and EU in Q4 2026. Taxes, delivery and regional fees may be additional. Pricing and delivery timing are subject to change, so confirm them with Verge for the relevant market before ordering. Verge’s TS Pro product page
How to assess the “world’s first” claim
The CES announcement and Verge’s product page support the narrower statement that the company presented the TS Pro with a Donut Lab solid-state battery and markets it as a first. They do not independently establish global priority across every announced, produced or delivered motorcycle. For now, “Verge calls it the world’s first” is more precise than presenting the superlative as settled fact. India Today; Verge
For a meaningful comparison with another electric motorcycle, use like-for-like evidence: battery capacity, range measured under the same method and conditions, charging connector and power, time over the same state-of-charge window, price and delivery market, and power and torque. The available TS Pro figures are manufacturer claims, and the sources reviewed do not provide an independently verified competitor comparison on those terms.
