The Vanspeed Album is a 144-inch camper van layout built around a rear space that shifts between a bed, lounge and cargo area. Its defining feature is adaptability: an integrated Murphy bed folds away, a modular bench can be removed, and the wet bath is designed to convert into closet storage. The trade-off is that the rear lounge configuration may not suit buyers who need several belted travel seats.
How the Album layout changes from day to night
Vanspeed calls the design the Album and identifies it as a 144-inch layout. Its main idea is to let one rear area serve different purposes rather than dedicate it to a fixed bed or seating arrangement.
Murphy bed for sleeping and open daytime space
Vanspeed describes an integrated queen-size Murphy bed that folds up against the wall to open the living area. The company calls it the Stage Sleep System. New Atlas reported the platform length as 80 inches (203 cm) in its April 15, 2026 article; Vanspeed’s Album page does not state that dimension. Buyers should confirm the bed’s exact measurements and configuration on the build they are considering.
Removable bench for seating or cargo
The passenger-side rear bench uses L-Track mounting and can be partly or fully removed, according to Vanspeed. The builder calls this arrangement the ModuRide Cargo System. That flexibility can help make room for gear, but the available sources do not establish cargo volume or whether particular bikes, boards or other equipment will fit. Ask the builder to assess your actual cargo and how it enters through the van’s doors.

What the wet bath and closet setup includes
Vanspeed describes a shower that can be converted into multi-level hanging and shelving storage under the name VersaCloset. New Atlas reports folding shelves and a removable cassette toilet in the bath. The official layout page does not give a toilet model or a complete list of bathroom equipment, so confirm what is included in a specific build rather than assuming every pictured or reported component is standard.
Who the Album may suit—and who should check carefully
The layout appears best suited to travelers who value a transformable rear living space and the option to clear room for gear. That is an inference from the described design, not a hands-on assessment.

If you need to carry passengers while driving, get the exact belted travel-seat count for the offered build in writing before treating it as a family van.
How to compare the Album with another camper van
Compare the actual configurations rather than relying on a layout name or general claims about flexibility. The inspected sources do not establish a numerical head-to-head ranking for the Album.

What is—and is not—established about buying one
The Vanspeed Album page reviewed does not state current price, inventory, chassis year, drivetrain or a complete specification list. Vanspeed’s general site discusses conversions on 144- and 170-inch Sprinters, but that does not establish the chassis specification of a particular Album. Availability and equipment can be configuration-dependent; get a current quote and a written build sheet from the builder.
Vanspeed’s Album page advertises financing “as low as” 5.79% with terms of “20+ Years.” These are changeable vendor advertising claims, not a guaranteed rate, approval or quote; the page does not provide a publication date for the offer. Vanspeed’s general homepage FAQ states a 3-year/36,000-mile workmanship defect warranty, but buyers should confirm the applicable warranty and eligibility terms in their contract.

The company’s general FAQ also gives a fuel-economy range of 16–20 mpg, while noting that results vary with model, conversion weight and driving habits. This is not an Album-specific test result or an independent measurement. The same FAQ mentions that some customers rent converted Sprinters through services such as Outdoorsy and gives around $400 per day as a potential rental rate; it is not a verified Album rate or a guaranteed owner return.

- How many belted seats are included in this exact build, and where are they located?
- What are the bed’s measured dimensions, and what mattress or bedding is included?
- Which bench modules can be removed, and what cargo space is available with each configuration?
- Does the quoted van include the cassette toilet, shower fixtures and closet shelves?
- What are the Sprinter’s model year and drivetrain, and what equipment is included in the price?
- What inventory, delivery timing, financing and warranty terms apply to this specific build?
