1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesThere is no verified, apples-to-apples ten-SUV ranking here: the available specifications establish three U.S.-market 2025 V6 examples, but not comparable power and EPA fuel-economy figures for ten qualifying vehicles. The 2025 Kia Telluride, Honda Pilot and Nissan Pathfinder are useful starting points. Compare each SUV’s engine output with the EPA rating for its exact trim and drivetrain; a V6 badge alone does not mean strong fuel economy.
How to compare power and fuel economy
For this comparison, “V6” means an engine with six cylinders arranged in a V. That excludes vehicles with an inline-six or a four-cylinder engine, even when their power or mileage looks competitive. The scope below is U.S.-market 2025 models, and the mileage figures are EPA estimates rather than a shared real-world test.
- Check the exact configuration. Trim and drivetrain can change fuel economy, and some models also vary in horsepower by trim.
- Read all three EPA numbers. City, highway and combined ratings give a more useful comparison than highway mpg alone.
- Keep use case in view. Towing and seating may matter as much as fuel economy, but use ratings for the exact equipment and configuration.
The EPA’s Automotive Trends Data and the U.S. Department of Energy and EPA’s 2025 Fuel Economy Guide provide broader context for fuel-economy figures.
Verified 2025 U.S. V6 examples
These three SUVs meet the engine-layout requirement and have relevant manufacturer or secondary-source specifications. The available data are not complete enough to rank them as a definitive list of the ten most efficient or powerful V6 SUVs.

| Model | V6 output | Fuel economy and qualifications | Other relevant detail |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2025 Kia Telluride | 3.8-liter V6; 291 hp and 262 lb-ft, per Kia’s specifications. | Up to 22 mpg combined, as summarized by the Associated Press/Edmunds guide. A matched city/highway breakdown is not stated in that source. | Confirm the EPA rating for the specific trim and drivetrain before comparing it with another vehicle. |
| 2025 Honda Pilot | V6; horsepower and torque are not stated in the cited Honda EPA ratings page. | 2WD: 19/27/22 mpg city/highway/combined for eligible trims. Most AWD trims: 19/25/21 mpg. AWD TrailSport: 18/23/20 mpg. | Regular unleaded. The EPA estimates differ by drivetrain and trim. |
| 2025 Nissan Pathfinder | 3.5-liter V6; 284 hp in most trims and 295 hp in Rock Creek, per Nissan’s specifications. | Up to 23 mpg combined, as summarized by the Associated Press/Edmunds guide. A matched city/highway breakdown is not stated in that source. | Up to 6,000 lb towing when properly equipped, according to the same guide; the maximum is equipment-dependent. |
Among the available matched EPA figures, the Pilot illustrates why configuration matters: its combined estimate spans 20 to 22 mpg across the listed 2025 variants. The Telluride and Pathfinder combined figures above are “up to” summaries, not a full trim-by-trim comparison, so they do not establish which SUV is most efficient overall.
Vehicles that do not qualify as V6s
Two plausible alternatives fall outside a strict V6 list. They may be useful when shopping by power and economy, but their different engine layouts should be labeled rather than folded into a V6 comparison.

- 2025 Mazda CX-90 3.3 Turbo S: Mazda specifies an inline-six, not a V6. It is rated up to 340 hp and EPA-estimated 23/28/25 mpg city/highway/combined on recommended 91-octane fuel. See Mazda’s 2025 CX-90 specifications.
Why the 2026 Honda Passport is not in this U.S. comparison
Honda Canada lists the 2026 Passport with a 3.5-liter V6 rated at 285 hp and 262 lb-ft, and Canadian fuel economy of 12.6/9.9/11.4 L/100 km city/highway/combined. Those are Canadian-market specifications and units; they should not be treated as U.S. mpg ratings or substituted for U.S. model data. See Honda Canada’s Passport specifications.

A defensible ten-model article would need consistent data for each candidate: model year and market, confirmation of V6 layout, horsepower and torque, and EPA city/highway/combined estimates for the exact trim and drivetrain. Where towing, seating, or fuel grade is compared, those details also need to match the configuration. Without that complete set, a numbered ranking would imply precision the available figures do not support.

For a practical shortlist from the verified U.S. examples, begin with the Pilot if you want published trim-specific EPA figures, then compare the Telluride and Pathfinder against the exact configurations you are considering. Check window stickers or current manufacturer specifications for the complete EPA breakdown before deciding; do not assume a summarized “up to” combined figure applies to every trim.
