Do Maharashtra listings establish a fair price?
No. OLX’s Maharashtra Indica V2 results displayed 12 listings when surfaced in 2026. That changing count is statewide, not Wada-only, and the advertisements are not verified sales. Examples on the results page included a 2013 car at ₹1,20,000, a 2014 car at ₹1,10,000 and a 2005 car at ₹55,000. Differences in condition, variant and sale outcome are not established, so these examples do not form a reliable valuation range. Compare OLX Maharashtra Indica V2 listings. [c001]

What to check before buying the Wada car
- Confirm the advertisement and identity: Contact the seller and match the car being offered to the advertisement. Confirm its variant, fuel, odometer reading, ownership count and price.
- Arrange an independent pre-purchase inspection: Ask a mechanic to assess the engine and cold start, clutch and transmission, suspension, brakes, tyres and electrical systems. Also ask about signs of accident damage or corrosion. The listing provides no inspection results.
- Match the paperwork to the vehicle: Check the original Registration Certificate (RC), and match its registration, chassis and engine details to the car. Check insurance, Pollution Under Control (PUC) documentation, tax or challan status, and any loan or hypothecation before payment.
- Calculate the full cost: Consider the asking price alongside necessary repairs, insurance and transfer costs. The advertisements do not establish what a fair completed-sale price would be for a Wada car.
How does ownership transfer work?
Parivahan’s guidance says that for a vehicle registered within the same state, the seller reports the transfer using Form 29 and the buyer applies using Form 30 within 14 days. The guidance lists RC, insurance and PUC among the documents and steps associated with a normal transfer. Confirm the current procedure, fees, required documents and responsible registering authority for the specific transaction. Parivahan ownership-transfer guidance and vehicle-related services.
