The Rhino XT was US Specialty Vehicles’ dramatic 2015 conversion of a four-door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. It changed the Wrangler’s bodywork and cabin, but the available 2015 report says its engine and other mechanicals stayed stock—so the aggressive look should not be mistaken for a power or off-road upgrade.
What is the USSV Rhino XT?
California-based US Specialty Vehicles (USSV) presented the Rhino XT at the 2015 SEMA Show and Los Angeles Auto Show. It began with a four-door Wrangler Unlimited, but its extensive bodywork made the donor difficult to recognize at a glance. USSV describes its business as designing and re-engineering luxury sport utility vehicles and lists the Rhino XT among its models. New Atlas reported on the vehicle on November 26, 2015; USSV’s model information provides company context.
What did USSV change?
Exterior and open-air setup
The conversion added large flared fenders, rugged bumpers, tow hooks, reinforced fiberglass-reinforced plastic body panels and a redesigned heavy-duty roll cage. A removable hard top retained the Wrangler’s open-air configuration. The result was a major visual transformation, not evidence by itself of greater strength or trail capability.
Cabin
USSV reworked the interior with premium leather seats, leather-trimmed door panels, a redesigned dashboard, a digital instrument display, navigation, a backup camera, chrome trim and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. These changes gave the Wrangler a more upscale cabin alongside its more imposing exterior.

Did the Rhino XT get more power or different mechanicals?
No mechanical upgrade is reported in the 2015 account. New Atlas characterized the Rhino XT as a cosmetic package and listed the donor’s stock 3.6-liter V6 at 285 hp, paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. The reported specification also included a Trac-Lok differential rear axle and a 3.73 axle ratio, plus electronic stability control, roll mitigation, and front and rear sway bars. The report does not identify an engine, transmission, or drivetrain upgrade.
What tires and wheels did the reported conversion use?
New Atlas reported 35-inch tires on 20 x 10-inch aluminum wheels and identified Toyo Open Country R/T tires in photo captions. Those details describe the reported Rhino XT setup, not a universal fitment recommendation for Wranglers. Before choosing a similar setup, verify tire size and load rating, wheel fitment, suspension clearance, and the specific vehicle configuration.

What did the Rhino XT cost, and is that price current?
In November 2015, New Atlas reported a starting price of US$75,445 for the complete vehicle, when reservations had opened. That is a historical launch figure; it does not establish a current price, present-day conversion availability, or whether USSV still offers the Rhino XT.

USSV’s support page separates service routes by component: powertrain or Jeep-component warranty repairs may be handled by an authorized Jeep dealer, while USSV body panels and interior components need to be returned to USSV. A third-party body shop may be used with USSV’s pre-approval. The page does not establish current Rhino XT service availability.

For Wrangler replacement parts, Mopar’s official catalog organizes listings by model year and says parts are engineered for a vehicle’s generation and trim. Match the exact Wrangler year, generation and trim rather than assuming a part fits every Wrangler—or a converted Rhino XT.
