The TWR Supercat is a limited-production, XJS-based Super-GT with a supercharged V12 and a six-speed manual. TWR first announced it as producing more than 600bhp in April 2024; at its November 2024 global debut, the company confirmed 660bhp and 730Nm. Khyzyl Saleem, known as Kyza, led the design, while Magnus Walker consulted on it.
What is the TWR Supercat?
The Supercat is TWR Performance’s modern interpretation of the Jaguar XJS: a bespoke Super-GT built on XJS foundations rather than a wholly unrelated new platform. TWR describes its design as drawing on the XJS and TWR-linked Jaguars including the XJR-9, XJR-15 and XJ220. The company says it combines modern materials and production methods with an in-house supercharged V12.
That makes “XJS-based” the useful shorthand, but not the whole story. TWR presents the car as a substantial, individually commissioned modern build rooted in the classic Jaguar, not simply an original XJS with cosmetic changes.
What did Kyza and Magnus Walker do?
Their roles were different. TWR credits Khyzyl Saleem—also known as Kyza—as vehicle designer and design lead. Magnus Walker, the Porsche collector and automotive personality, was a design consultant. The credits do not describe Walker as the lead designer.

The collaboration places the Supercat’s appearance in the hands of a named design lead while drawing on Walker’s consultation. TWR’s November 2024 announcement describes the result as contemporary in design and connected to the marque’s motorsport history; that is the manufacturer’s positioning, not an independent assessment.
How much power does the TWR Supercat make?
The power figure changed as the car moved from announcement to final public specification. TWR’s 30 April 2024 announcement said “more than 600bhp.” At the global debut on 19 November 2024, TWR confirmed 660bhp and 730Nm. Its current technical page, accessed 8 October 2026, also lists 660bhp.

These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent instrumented test results. The published figures establish the engine, output and layout, but do not by themselves establish acceleration, top speed, lap times or how the car compares with another GT.
What makes it an analogue Super-GT?
The clearest evidence behind that description is the powertrain layout: a supercharged V12, a six-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive. TWR uses “analogue” as part of its intended character for the car. The listed hardware supports the description of a driver-involved configuration, but it is not a substitute for an independent road or track evaluation.

How many will be made?
TWR says production is limited to 88 cars, a figure given in its 2024 announcement and retained on its current technical page. The company describes each Supercat as individually commissioned, so the project is presented as a bespoke limited run rather than a standard-volume model.

What did the TWR Supercat cost?
In its 30 April 2024 announcement, TWR gave an indicative starting price of £225,000, excluding local taxes, and said individual specifications affect the price. That is an announcement-era figure, not a verified current quote. Because the car is individually commissioned and prices can change, buyers should request current pricing and terms from TWR.
Why was it first described as a 600bhp car?
The “600bhp” wording reflects the initial April 2024 announcement, which said the Supercat would produce more than 600bhp. TWR later confirmed the more specific figure of 660bhp at the November 2024 global debut. The earlier description is not the final published output.

TWR Director and Founder Fergus Walkinshaw described the Supercat at its global debut as an “authentic, analogue Super-GT” and said it had been developed for more than three years. Those are the company’s characterisation and account of its development; they should not be mistaken for independent performance findings.
