The Two Track Campers pop-top is a custom-installed sleeper roof for four-door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited models. It replaces the factory roof, lifts at the front to open, and was reported as available to order in August 2025, at a base price of US$10,000 including installation. Those details come from a New Atlas report dated August 19, 2025, so confirm current availability, fitment, price and lead time with the company before you commit.
What the Two Track pop-top is
Two Track Campers revived designs and molds it acquired from Action Camper. Its first product is a simpler pop-up sleeper roof for the Wrangler Unlimited, rather than a full micro-RV. The conversion is hinged at the rear and lifts at the front. Occupants raise the roof and climb to bed from inside the Jeep, so there is no ladder or external tent to set up.
The roof uses nylon canvas walls, triple-layer tent windows, interior latches and an under-bed access hatch. The company’s name refers to its own definition of a “two track” road: “A simple unpaved road usually requiring a high-clearance vehicle and 4×4. Most Two Track roads are remote and seldom traveled.” (Two Track Campers, as quoted by New Atlas.)
Will it fit my Wrangler?
New Atlas reported that the conversion is offered for four-door Wrangler Unlimited models, JKU and JLU generations, from model year 2007 to the present. That is a fitment claim made in August 2025. It is not a substitute for confirming with the company that your specific vehicle, roof configuration and accessories are supported.

Before ordering, check:
- That your vehicle is a four-door Unlimited (JKU or JLU), not a two-door Wrangler.
- Your model year and any factory hardtop, soft top or roof accessories that the conversion would replace or affect.
- Whether you plan to add a roof rack or Yakima roof tracks, and whether the company confirms those mount to its roof.

The 53-by-86-inch figure is the sleeping area, not a mattress label. If you need a true queen or a specific length for a tall sleeper, measure the bed in the vehicle you plan to use and ask the company for the exact mattress dimensions.

Price, lead time and options
New Atlas reported a base price of US$10,000 including installation, with a four-week lead time at the time of publication. Options mentioned were color-matching paint, MOLLE panels and Yakima roof tracks. Treat these as dated figures from August 2025. Prices, options and lead times can change, so get a written quote that lists exactly what is included.
Who builds it
New Atlas reported that Colorado Camper Van would manufacture the Jeep roofs at its facility in Loveland, Colorado. Colorado Camper Van is an established pop-up roof maker. Two Track is a newer venture backed by that company and by Jeep industry veteran Luke Burgess.

Planned products that are not the same conversion
New Atlas also covered two plans that are separate from the Wrangler roof. Neither should be treated as a current product.
The X4 micro-RV
The X4 is a distinct planned four-person micro-RV based on an earlier Action Camper design. According to the report, it keeps the Wrangler’s rear doors and seats, adds a pass-through to a lower bed, and includes a second bed in a wedge-style pop-top, a small kitchen and a two-seat dinette. New Atlas did not establish that the X4 is available to order.

Ford Bronco pop-up roof
The report says Two Track planned a pop-up sleeper roof for the Ford Bronco. No timeline or price was given at publication.

New Atlas compared the Two Track roof with typical rooftop tents and with the Ursa Minor J30 Jeep pop-top. The J30 rises at both ends. The Two Track roof is hinged at the rear and lifts at the front, which changes how much cargo and gear clearance you have when the roof is up and how the opening is accessed.

That is the publication’s own comparison, not an independent head-to-head test, and it may not hold for every rack or tent combination.
If you are weighing options, compare the following on the same basis:
- Access and opening design (rear hinge versus lift at both ends).
- Fitment to your exact Wrangler generation and model year.
- Sleeping dimensions and mattress thickness.
- Installed weight and total roof height, including any rack.
- Installation requirements, price and lead time.
New Atlas did not publish a full current comparison of competitors’ prices or specifications, so a side-by-side with other brands needs to come from current vendor quotes.
Before you order
The main open questions as of this reporting are whether the Wrangler roof is still available, what it costs today, and how long it takes to deliver. Ask for those answers in writing, along with fitment confirmation for your vehicle and a list of what the installation price covers.
