The TruckHouse BCR is a complete, turn-key expedition vehicle that pairs a carbon-fiber living module with a new AEV Prospector XL Ram 3500 cab-chassis. TruckHouse lists it from $510,000, including the chassis. It is not a camper shell for an existing pickup: the company sells complete BCR vehicles and does not accept customer-owned Rams for conversion.
What is the TruckHouse BCR?
The BCR is TruckHouse’s Ram-based expedition vehicle, designed for extended travel and off-grid living. Its living module is a vacuum-infused carbon-fiber monocoque, mounted to an AEV Prospector XL Ram 3500 cab-chassis. TruckHouse’s FAQ says the BCR is built only on a new Prospector XL Ram chassis.
That makes it distinct from the TruckHouse BCT, which is based on a Toyota Tacoma. The BCR is the larger Ram-platform option; it is not simply a BCT with a different badge.
How much does the TruckHouse BCR cost?
TruckHouse’s current FAQ lists the BCR from $510,000, including the base Prospector XL Ram 3500 chassis. This is the company’s published starting price, not an independent valuation; options and pricing can change, so confirm the current configuration and quote with TruckHouse. TruckHouse FAQ

How the Ram chassis is equipped
The BCR uses the AEV Prospector XL Ram 3500 platform. TruckHouse’s June 2023 launch announcement specified 40-inch tires, a 3-inch DualSport RT suspension system and a stamped-steel bumper. These are part of the announced chassis setup, not a claim that every later configuration is identical; confirm the equipment on a quoted vehicle. TruckHouse’s launch announcement
What the HiPR Foil is intended to do
TruckHouse calls its cabover airflow feature the patent-pending HiPR Foil system. The company says it is designed to reduce the high-pressure zone at the front of the cabover. The announcement provides no measured fuel-economy result, so the feature should not be treated as proof of a particular mileage improvement. TruckHouse’s launch announcement

What is inside the BCR?
TruckHouse’s August 2024 interior announcement lists a 48-volt lithium system, heated floors, a full galley, a wet bath, a king-size bed and a U-shaped rear dinette. The standard control system includes solid-state switching and a 10-inch Garmin display. The announcement identifies these features but does not provide a complete configuration sheet or establish that every detail is unchanged on current builds. TruckHouse’s interior announcement
The air-conditioning runtime claim
TruckHouse said in 2024 that the battery could provide 50 hours of continuous air conditioning. That is a manufacturer claim, not an independently validated real-world runtime: the announcement does not specify ambient temperature, battery configuration or test conditions. Actual runtime will depend on the build and operating conditions. TruckHouse’s interior announcement

Can you buy the camper shell or use your own Ram?
No. TruckHouse says it sells complete expedition vehicles, not shells or components, and does not accept an existing Ram for a BCR build. The company can assist with the truck purchase, but the Ram transaction takes place at a dealership; TruckHouse describes itself as a vehicle modifier rather than a dealer. TruckHouse FAQ
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Who is the BCR for?
The BCR is for buyers seeking a complete, high-end Ram-based expedition vehicle rather than a pickup camper to install on a truck they already own. Its stated starting price includes the base chassis, and its announced interior combines sleeping, cooking and bathing facilities with a 48-volt electrical system. The company’s feature announcements describe its intended capability, but they do not establish independent off-road, fuel-economy or endurance-test results.

TruckHouse introduced the BCR in collaboration with AEV. In the June 2023 company announcement, AEV CEO and founder Dave Harriton said, “I was initially impressed with TruckHouse’s extremely high build quality, strong work ethic, and logical approach.” TruckHouse CEO and co-founder Matt Linder said, “People are inspired by the vision that expedition vehicles can be built to the same quality and longevity standard as yachts and airplanes – we saw that with the tremendous success of the BCT.” These are statements from the companies’ launch announcement, not independent assessments.
