Because the 675 changed across years and came in standard and R versions, compare a specific bike—not an assumed universal 675 specification.

Triumph’s company history dates the Daytona 675’s launch to 2006. The cited 2013 owner handbook covers the Daytona 675 and 675R, while Triumph’s US specification page labels its Daytona 660 entry as a 2025 model. Those sources describe different model years, so their numbers are useful for context but are not a matched test or a complete comparison of every version.
The figures below are manufacturer-rated specifications, not independent measurements at the rear wheel. The 660 figures are from Triumph’s 2025 US-market specification, and the 675 figures are from Triumph’s 2013 Daytona 675 & 675R owner handbook.

In these cited specifications, the 675/675R has the higher peak power and torque ratings. The 660’s specified torque peak arrives 3,650 rpm earlier. Peak figures alone do not show how quickly either bike accelerates, how it performs on track, or how it feels to ride; no matched independent comparison is established here.

What the specifications establish—and what they do not
Engine and electronics
Triumph describes the Daytona 660 with three riding modes—Sport, Road and Rain—plus ride-by-wire, switchable traction control and ABS on its current product overview. The 2013 handbook provides engine performance figures for the 675 and 675R, but it is not a complete account of electronics across every 675 model year. Do not assume all 675s have identical equipment.
Triumph’s launch announcement presented the 660 as combining “useable, real-world performance” with all-day comfort. Chassis, brakes and dimensions
Triumph’s 2025 US 660 specification lists a steel perimeter frame, a 41 mm Showa SFF-BP fork with 110 mm front travel, and a preload-adjustable rear shock with 130 mm travel. It also specifies twin 310 mm front discs with four-piston radial calipers, an 810 mm seat height and a 443 lb wet weight.
The cited material does not provide a directly comparable full chassis specification for a particular 675 year and variant. Those 660 figures therefore cannot support a blanket claim that one bike has better suspension, braking, fit or handling than the other.

Which one should you buy?
Choose a Daytona 660 when you want the newer model
The 660 is the newer model in this comparison, and Triumph publishes a current-market feature and specification overview for it. For the cited US specification, Triumph lists a service interval of 10,000 miles / 16,000 km or 12 months. Confirm the applicable interval and equipment for the exact model year and market you are considering; specifications and availability can vary by region.
Consider a Daytona 675 when the exact used bike suits you
A 675 purchase needs more specific checking because its year and standard-versus-R status affect what you are comparing. The 2013 handbook’s power and torque figures should not be treated as specifications for every 675. For a used example, assess its condition and maintenance history, consult the owner handbook for that year, and compare insurance and local availability. The cited information does not establish a reliability ranking, comparable service schedule or current used-market prices.

Use a like-for-like checklist
- Identify the 675’s model year and whether it is a standard or R version.
- Compare the exact bike’s handbook and maintenance records with the specific 660’s market and model-year specification.
- Check condition, insurance and local availability rather than choosing on peak figures alone.
Tire sizes: verify the exact bike before buying
Triumph’s 2025 US Daytona 660 specification lists a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 180/55 ZR17 rear tire. Triumph’s historical tire chart lists Daytona 675 fitment by year and VIN range, so do not assume one size applies to every 675. Confirm approved fitment against the exact motorcycle’s manual and the tire manufacturer’s current guidance before ordering replacements.
