What was the 2014 Trion Nemesis supposed to be?
Trion Supercars announced the Nemesis concept in 2014. New Atlas reported the proposal on April 1, 2014, describing a car represented by renderings and ambitious performance estimates. The original concept was to use a twin-turbocharged V8 and target 2,000 hp, more than 270 mph (435+ km/h), and 0–60 mph (96.5 km/h) in 2.8 seconds. New Atlas’s 2014 report presented these as estimated figures, not results from testing a finished car.
Proposed features
The report also described an eight-speed sequential transmission, selectable drive modes—including one called “predator mode”—and active aerodynamics. It said the proposed construction would combine carbon fiber with Inconel alloy. These were announced design features, not confirmation that a production vehicle with those components was completed.
How does the current Nemesis concept differ?
Trion’s current Nemesis Model 001 page describes an all-electric concept rather than the 2014 twin-turbo V8 proposal. The company lists 1,800 hp and a claimed top speed above 270 mph. The figures belong to the company’s current concept description; they are not independent test results.

Trion’s “The Future” page likewise positions the company around electric vehicles. That current direction should not be conflated with the powertrain and specifications reported for the original Nemesis proposal.

Was the Trion Nemesis ever built?
The cited coverage and Trion pages do not establish that the headline vehicle reached production, was independently tested, or was delivered to customers. That means the proposed 2,000 hp and 270+ mph figures should not be treated as demonstrated capabilities. The current electric concept’s specifications are also company claims, not proof of a production car achieving them.

Could it really reach 270 mph?
The available material does not demonstrate that either version reached 270 mph. The original number was a target attached to a proposal; the current electric concept page repeats a 270+ mph claim. Without verified testing of a finished car, neither figure establishes that the Nemesis can attain that speed.
