The manufacturer lists a 1,500-pound assembled set, vehicle and tire requirements, and surface-specific operating limits. Check your exact vehicle against Track N Go’s current compatibility information and the manual for your system before requesting a quote.
How the Track N Go system works
AD Boivin Inc. says it designs, manufactures and markets Track N Go systems for emergency vehicles and industrial use (Track N Go). The TG-14 is a four-track system fitted over the vehicle’s existing tires, which remain on the vehicle. The manufacturer describes each tire as driving and holding its track in place; it says this arrangement lets the tire absorb impact and helps with steering. Those are the maker’s design descriptions, not independently verified comparative results (Track N Go advantages).
The TG-14 specification describes an aluminum 6061-T6 and high-strength low-alloy steel frame, with rubber tracks incorporating internal composite rods and Kevlar. Track N Go also describes closed track sides and front and rear anti-diving deflectors. These details explain the stated design, but do not establish how the system compares with another track product.
Weight, dimensions and operating limits
These are Track N Go’s published TG-14 specifications, not independent measurements (TG-14 specifications).

| Specification | Manufacturer-published TG-14 figure |
|---|---|
| Assembled set weight | 1,500 lb total; 375 lb per track |
| Recommended maximum vehicle gross weight | 12,500 lb |
| Recommended maximum axle weight | 6,250 lb |
| Track tread width and length | 15 in. (381 mm) wide by 136 in. (3,455 mm) long |
| Increase in vehicle width | 8 in. (200 mm) |
| Increase in ground clearance | 8 in. (200 mm) |
| Maximum recommended speed | 40 mph (64 km/h) |
| Maximum operating side slope | 25% |
The 1,500-pound figure is the track assembly alone. Treat it as a substantial addition when checking your vehicle’s weight and axle limits; do not assume that a truck meeting the listed gross-weight figure has adequate remaining payload for its occupants, cargo and other equipment.
Which trucks and SUVs can use it?
Track N Go lists 4×4 pickup trucks and some large 4×4 SUVs that meet its criteria. Fitment depends on the specific vehicle, its drivetrain and rear differential, engine class, and tire dimensions—not simply on having four-wheel drive. The manufacturer’s requirements include (vehicle requirements):
Rank #2
- Original Patented Flexible Race Track: The Blu Track Classic is the original patented two-lane flexible toy race track; one continuous 15 Ft track creates hills, jumps, loops, slopes and custom race courses
- Two-Lane Racing With Your Cars: Built-in center divider creates side-by-side racing; works with most common 1:64 scale die-cast toy cars, so kids can race many of the cars they already own
- Hands-On STEM Play: A flexible car track for kids that turns gravity, momentum, slope, speed and trial-and-error into play; build a course, test it, change it and discover what makes cars go farther and faster
- Made Here, Tested Here, Supported Here: Manufactured in the USA using U.S.-sourced materials and American labor, with product testing performed in the United States and U.S.-based customer service
- Complete 15 Ft Starter Set: Includes one 15 Ft Blu Track Classic two-lane flexible race track, one Anchor Bar, one Standard Hanger Pad and one Suction Cup; cars and household objects are not included
- Automatic transmission with 4L low range.
- An automatic-locking rear differential or rear limited-slip differential.
- Un-studded winter or all-season tires with a regular soft compound.
- Tire outside diameter of 31–35 inches (780–875 mm) and width no greater than 13 inches (330 mm).
- For full-size pickups and large SUVs, a V8 engine of at least 5 liters; for mid-size pickups and off-road SUVs, a V6.
A front differential locker is an optional recommendation for deep snow, and heavy-duty cooling is an optional recommendation for higher speed in deep snow. The FAQ says wheel adapters vary with the vehicle’s bolt pattern, another reason not to treat the system as a universal bolt-on (Track N Go FAQ).
Check your exact vehicle before ordering
- Record your vehicle’s year, make and model, transmission, low-range availability, rear differential type and engine.
- Check the tire’s actual outside diameter and width, and confirm its type and tread condition against the manufacturer’s criteria.
- Compare your vehicle’s gross and axle weights with the TG-14 recommendations, including the weight of the tracks and the load you plan to carry.
- For a large SUV, consult the manufacturer’s restricted compatibility list rather than assuming that every model meeting the general criteria is approved.
- Ask Track N Go to confirm compatibility before purchase. Its order page specifically asks buyers to verify that their vehicle meets the minimum requirements (request a quote).
Where and how fast can you drive?
Track N Go says the system was developed primarily for snow and reports testing on sand, gravel, pavement and light mud (FAQ). However, the TG-13 owner’s manual says the design is not intended for mud, especially rocky or clay-type mud (TG-13 Owner’s Manual). These statements do not make every surface suitable in every condition. The manual’s caution is particularly relevant where mud is deep, sticky or contains rocks.
Speed guidance also varies by model and surface. The TG-14 specification lists 40 mph as a maximum recommended speed. The FAQ recommends 15–35 km/h in snow, depending on snow depth and vehicle power. The TG-13 manual, which is a 2018 document and not confirmation of current TG-14 instructions, recommends 5–10 mph in snow and 5–40 mph on hard-packed snow or pavement. Follow the current manual for your specific system and conditions rather than treating 40 mph as a general off-road target.

Installation and pre-drive checks
Track N Go’s FAQ gives an average installation time of 15 minutes for all four tracks, with reported variation from 5 to 25 minutes; it says removal takes about the same time. The advantages page describes using two loading ramps. These are manufacturer estimates and descriptions, not timings from an independent installation test.
The TG-13 manual says the vehicle must always be used in 4×4 mode: low range in snow, and high range only on hard surfaces or paved roads. It also directs operators to inspect all four tracks and verify the securing parts are fastened before use. Its maintenance and safety checks include front-track toe-out, tensioners and quick-release pins. After extended outdoor storage below freezing, it advises carefully removing snow and ice. Confirm the applicable procedures in the current manual for your system; the TG-13 document should not be assumed to be an exact TG-14 manual.

- Simple to use.
The same TG-13 manual says the system raises the vehicle’s center of gravity by 8 inches and cautions against positioning the vehicle at more than 10 degrees of lateral inclination. That manual-specific warning is not interchangeable with the TG-14 specification’s 25% maximum operating side slope: the values use different measures and come from different documents. Use the instructions for the fitted model and avoid relying on a conversion or interpretation not supplied by its maker.

Are Track N Go tracks street legal?
There is no single answer for all owners. Track N Go says road legality depends on the country, province or state (FAQ). Check the rules in the jurisdiction where the vehicle will be driven before using the system on public roads. The manufacturer’s speed and pavement statements are not a guarantee of legal road use.

Price, warranty and owner support
The manufacturer’s order page uses a request-for-quotation form rather than publishing a price. It asks for the vehicle year, make and model, and says a quote can include shipping (pricing and ordering). The total therefore needs to be confirmed directly for the vehicle and delivery location; no fixed price is stated on the reviewed page.
The FAQ says the system is guaranteed against manufacturing defects for a full season, but the reviewed text does not define the season or provide complete exclusions. It also says owners can order parts through the manufacturer’s website and receive login credentials. Track N Go’s manuals page provides manuals and maintenance videos (manuals and maintenance); confirm current terms and instructions with the manufacturer.
