Compared with the $28,995 starting MSRP Toyota announced for 2026 Corolla Cross Hybrid models, that is a $2,420 increase, or about 8.35%. The comparison is between Toyota’s dated starting-price announcements—not identical grades or a prediction of what buyers will pay at a dealership.
How much does the 2027 Corolla Cross Hybrid cost?
The 2027 Corolla Cross Hybrid SE starts at $31,415 MSRP, before Toyota’s Dealer Processing and Handling fee. Toyota announced that U.S. price on October 2, 2026. Its release does not establish taxes, incentives, dealer markups, or a buyer’s final transaction price. Toyota’s 2027 announcement

The comparison is not a like-for-like trim increase: Toyota dropped the 2026 lineup’s entry S grade for 2027, so the new entry price is attached to the SE. The dollar change accurately describes the two published starting figures, but it does not isolate how much of the difference comes from pricing versus the change in entry grade.

Why the 2026 comparison price can look different
Toyota’s consumer hybrid-lineup page listed the 2026 Corolla Cross Hybrid at $29,595 when accessed October 2, 2026. That is $600 above the $28,995 figure in the 2025 launch announcement. Toyota consumer pages have shown other 2026 values as well, so the figures should not be blended as though they were one contemporaneous quote. Toyota Hybrid Vehicles Lineup

What changes on the 2027 Hybrid
Two grades instead of three
Toyota says the Corolla Cross Hybrid lineup goes from three grades to two for 2027: the S is discontinued, leaving SE and XSE. The SE is the grade carrying the $31,415 starting MSRP. Toyota says most specifications carry over from the prior model year.

What the price increase means for shoppers
If you are comparing a 2026 S with a 2027 SE, account for the grade change rather than treating the MSRP difference as a same-trim increase. Compare the specific vehicles’ equipment and Toyota’s published fuel-economy estimates, then ask dealers for written, itemized out-the-door quotes for the vehicles you would actually buy.
