What is the GR Yaris MORIZO RR?
The MORIZO RR is a limited-run, track-focused GR Yaris developed with Akio Toyoda, known in motorsport as Morizo. Toyota Gazoo Racing says the car draws on experience gained by Toyota Gazoo Rookie Racing (TGRR) at the 2025 Nürburgring 24 Hours. It is not simply a Tokyo Auto Salon show car: the event listing describes the displayed vehicle as a road-legal concept vehicle/prototype, while Toyota’s later announcements and Japanese catalog document a limited-production model.
Toyota’s stated specifications for the Japanese-market car include a 1.618-liter G16E-GTS turbocharged three-cylinder engine, rated at 304 PS (224 kW) at 6,500 rpm and 400 N·m from 3,250 to 4,600 rpm. Toyota lists a reference vehicle weight of 1,310 kg. These figures describe the cataloged car; they are not independent test results.
What changes set it apart from a regular GR Yaris?

The listed output figures do not establish that the MORIZO RR is quicker than a regular GR Yaris. Toyota’s cited announcements and catalog provide no comparative acceleration times or lap times, so claims that it is faster should not be inferred from its Nürburgring-derived setup or added hardware.

How much does the MORIZO RR cost?
Toyota Japan’s May 2026 catalog lists a manufacturer suggested retail price of ¥9,000,000, including Japan’s 10% consumption tax. The listed amount is dated and subject to dealer and vehicle-registration costs; it is not a universal price for other markets. The supplied Toyota Europe announcement confirms a 100-car allocation for selected European markets but does not state a European price.
How many will Toyota build, and where?
Toyota says the production allocation is 100 units for Japan and 100 units for selected European markets. The Japanese release says domestic buyers are to enter a purchasing lottery, with applications planned from spring 2026 through the official GR app. The announcement does not establish allocations for other regions. Availability and delivery status can change, so prospective buyers should check directly with Toyota or a participating dealer in their market.
