Meanwhile, U.S. sales rose 12.9% in calendar 2025—but they were not “better than ever”: the cited historical U.S. series puts the high in 2021.
When is the Toyota GR Supra going out of production?
On April 3, 2025, Toyota announced the 2026 GR Supra MkV Final Edition and said, “Production of the fifth-generation GR Supra will end Spring 2026.” That is Toyota’s announced plan, not independent confirmation of the exact date the last car will be built. Toyota identifies the 2026 edition as the final edition for this generation. Toyota USA Newsroom’s announcement gives the production timing and model details.
Did Toyota Supra sales rise in 2025?
Yes, in the United States. Toyota Motor North America reported 2,953 Supra sales in calendar 2025, compared with 2,615 in 2024—a 12.9% increase in annual volume. Those are U.S. figures, not global sales. Toyota’s January 5, 2026 U.S. sales report provides the annual totals.
Annual sales versus December
December 2025 sales were 277, compared with 70 in December 2024, according to the same Toyota report. The month’s much larger percentage increase reflects that small year-earlier base; it is not the full-year growth rate. The annual comparison is 2,953 versus 2,615, or 12.9%.

Were 2025 sales the Supra’s best ever?
No—not according to the historical U.S. series cited here. GoodCarBadCar lists 6,830 U.S. Supra sales in 2021, well above Toyota’s 2025 total of 2,953. The 2025 figure is a rebound from 2024, not an all-time record. The historical comparison is secondary: GoodCarBadCar’s Supra sales series displays U.S. figures for 2019–2025, while Toyota directly reports the 2024 and 2025 totals.
What does the 2026 GR Supra Final Edition offer?
Toyota’s announcement lists 382 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque for the 2026 GR Supra. Toyota also cites 0–60 mph times of 3.9 seconds with the eight-speed automatic and 4.2 seconds with the manual. These are manufacturer figures, not independent test results. Toyota’s 2026 GR Supra model page corroborates the model identity.

What the sales numbers do—and do not—show
The figures establish that U.S. Supra sales increased from 2024 to 2025, while production was scheduled to end in spring 2026. They do not establish why sales rose, how many cars remained at dealerships, global model sales, or the precise date production actually ended. The timing alone does not show that the final-edition announcement caused the sales increase.
