Which Mazda and Toyota cars did Update 10 add?
The two highlighted additions were the Toyota AE86 and Mazda RX-3. Animoca Brands announced them as part of Torque Drift 2 Early Access Update 10 on July 17, 2024. Read the Update 10 announcement.
The announcement described the update as an expansion of the car lineup, alongside new gameplay and customization features. It did not establish that these were the only cars added across the full update, so they are best understood as its two prominently highlighted Mazda and Toyota models.
What else came with Update 10?
Daikoku and new drift challenges
Update 10 added the Daikoku track and Lead and Chase challenges. In the publisher’s description, Lead runs focus on scoring, while Chase challenges ask players to beat a lead score by reproducing the lead driver’s performance and earning drift achievements. Challenges specify a target score, track and layout, and car. These are the developer’s descriptions of the features, not independently tested gameplay findings.

Events and performance tuning
The update brought an events tab and scheduler, as well as tuning options for turbos, engines, gearboxes, angle kits and ECU modifications. The announcement also noted new body kits, including Liberty Walk kits.
Pro Car Bundles
Pro Car Bundles included vehicles associated with professional drivers Adam LZ, Odi Bakchis, Chris Forsberg and Sammit, as well as the RTR Ford Mustang Team.

Is Update 10 still Torque Drift 2’s latest update?
No. Update 10 was announced in July 2024. Torque Motorsport’s official release notes document Update 0.15.0 on October 30, 2025, and the Steam listing accessed on October 8, 2026 labels Update 15 “Just Updated.” The July 2024 announcement should therefore be treated as a historical update report rather than current latest-update news.
Update 0.15.0 introduced asynchronous and ranked drift battles, skill-based matching, and a driver model that can be disabled in settings. Its release notes also describe leaderboard resets and new content, including BMW E30 and E30 M3 cars, STRÖM wheels, and TM bodykits for several cars. How does the later lineup compare?
The Steam store listing accessed October 8, 2026 shows a broader roster, including the Toyota GR86, GT86, Supra MKIV and MKV, AE86 Trueno, Chaser JZX100 and GR Corolla, plus Mazda RX-7 FC/FD, MX-5 and RX-3. It describes Torque Drift 2 as a PC game with single-player and multiplayer play, licensed cars and parts, controller support, simulator-rig support and modding. Store-page information can change; check the Torque Drift 2 Steam listing for its current details.
For a version-to-version comparison, keep the release dates and sources attached to each claim: the AE86 and RX-3 were highlighted in the 2024 Update 10 announcement, while the ranked and asynchronous battles and additional cars and parts are described in the 2025 Update 0.15.0 notes. Neither source establishes comparative performance or popularity.

What the 2024 download figure does—and does not—say
Animoca Brands reported in its July 17, 2024 announcement that Torque Drift 2 had been downloaded by more than 400,000 players since its Early Access release in October 2023. That is a historical publisher-reported figure, not a current total or an independently audited count. The announcement also quoted Grease Monkey Games CEO Arran Potter praising the update’s challenges and Daikoku track; those remarks are promotional, not independent comparative findings.
Can you use a racing wheel?
Steam’s listing says the game supports simulator rigs, making a wheel an optional possibility for a simulator-style setup. The listing does not identify a specific compatible wheel or say that one is required, so check device compatibility before buying hardware.
