Choose an RV rear view camera system by checking your rig’s camera preparation and mount first, then matching the wireless link, number of views, and monitor to how you use the RV. The available evidence supports detailed comparisons of Furrion Vision S/Vision S+ and Haloview MC5111—not five equally verified picks—so this guide separates confirmed specifications from other candidates that still need checking.

Start with your RV’s camera preparation

Before comparing image resolution or screen size, locate the camera port and wiring on the rear wall and identify the preparation system and mount. Many newer campers are Furrion-prepped, according to CarAudioNow’s June 2026 guide, but compatibility is not guaranteed by the presence of wiring alone. A replacement camera may connect to compatible wiring yet still have different mounting screw holes.

  • Check the RV manual or ask the manufacturer or dealer which camera-prep system is installed.
  • Compare the existing camera mount and screw-hole pattern with the replacement camera.
  • Confirm that the camera, monitor, and any add-on cameras are compatible with one another and are included in the package you plan to buy.

For a Furrion-prepped RV, Furrion Vision S is the more direct ecosystem match. CarAudioNow says Haloview MC5111 wiring may work with Furrion-prepped campers, while warning that its mounting holes may not line up.

Decide what job the camera needs to do

Continuous rear visibility

If you want a view behind the RV while driving, prioritize a stable link across the full length of your rig and a monitor you can see from the driver’s seat. Wireless-range figures are not directly comparable: Furrion advertises a stable connection up to 100 feet while driving and nearly 500 feet in open areas; CarAudioNow reports Haloview’s 984-foot line-of-sight specification. These are different conditions and manufacturer or product-guide claims, not guarantees of real-world performance.

Close-range reversing help

A rear camera can help you judge what is behind the RV while backing, but it is an aid—not a replacement for mirrors, direct checks, or a spotter. None of the cited product material establishes a safety guarantee or proves that a camera alone is sufficient for reversing.

More than one view

Both Furrion Vision S and Haloview MC5111 are described as supporting up to four camera feeds. That can let an owner begin with a rear view and add side or front coverage, but the exact compatible cameras and package contents need verification before purchase. Furrion’s Vision S+ page lists packages with rear-only, side-camera, and multiple-camera configurations.

Furrion Vision S CarAudioNow’s June 2026 guide reports 720p, a 120-degree view, and IP65 rating. 7-inch display; up to four cameras, according to CarAudioNow. Wireless range details for this specific Vision S specification set are not stated in CarAudioNow’s cited comparison. CarAudioNow recommends it as its overall pick and says many newer campers are Furrion-prepped. Not stated in the cited CarAudioNow guide.
Furrion Vision S+ Furrion’s current product page (accessed 2026) lists a 1080p rear sharkfin camera, 140-degree rear field of view, IP65 waterproofing, and infrared night vision. Side cameras add 65 degrees on each side. Furrion lists rear-only, side-camera, and multi-camera packages; package monitor size and camera count vary. Furrion says it uses 2.4 GHz wireless and claims a stable connection up to 100 feet while driving and nearly 500 feet in open areas. These are manufacturer claims. Do not apply Vision S+ specifications to the older Vision S model. Furrion displayed packages from $475 for a 5-inch monitor/rear-camera package to $1,010 for a 7-inch multi-camera observation package when accessed in 2026. Prices are volatile.
Haloview MC5111 CarAudioNow’s June 2026 guide reports a 120-degree view and IP69K rating. 7-inch touchscreen; up to four feeds, according to CarAudioNow. CarAudioNow reports up to 984 feet line-of-sight. Treat this as a stated specification, not a guaranteed usable range on the road. CarAudioNow reported an Amazon price of $239.99 when accessed in June 2026; check the current listing.

Which RV rear view camera is best?

Choose Furrion Vision S or S+ when preparation and integration matter most

Furrion is the clearest fit when the RV is already prepared for Furrion and you want a matching system or a package that can grow to include side cameras. Confirm whether the listing is for Vision S or Vision S+: the reported Vision S figures are 720p and 120 degrees, while Furrion’s Vision S+ page specifies 1080p and 140 degrees for the rear camera. Check exact monitor size, camera compatibility, package contents, and current price before ordering.

Consider Haloview MC5111 for an expandable wireless setup

CarAudioNow presents the MC5111 as a value-oriented expandable option, with a 7-inch touchscreen, up to four feeds, DVR, microphone, and IP69K rating. It may suit some Furrion-wired RVs, but check the physical mount as well as wiring, and account for the lack of a rain shroud. Its long line-of-sight range figure should not be treated as a promise of reliable connection in every driving environment.

Use this buying checklist before checkout

  1. Identify the prep: verify the RV’s camera-prep model, rear-wall wiring, and mount pattern.
  2. Choose the view: decide whether you need a continuous rear view, reversing assistance, or side/front feeds as well.
  3. Check the whole-rig link: compare the claimed wireless range with your RV’s length and intended use; do not equate line-of-sight figures with on-road performance.
  4. Match generations and parts: confirm the camera and monitor work together, especially when comparing Vision S with Vision S+.
  5. Review the package: verify monitor size, camera count, included accessories, and whether extra cameras are sold separately.
  6. Check installation and exposure: review mount fit, wiring needs, weather rating, and any design caveats such as the MC5111’s lack of a rain shroud.
  7. Confirm the current total: package prices and retailer listings change; compare the exact configuration you need rather than a headline starting price.
