Tonke lists a 100 kWh battery (90 kWh effective) and a 150 kW motor, but its published material does not establish full-time remote-work suitability or a guaranteed driving range.
How the three Tonke EQV configurations differ
Tonke’s configurator presents three distinct layouts. The table summarizes the manufacturer’s listed configurations; confirm the exact equipment, seating and dimensions in a current build quote because options and descriptions can vary.

Adventure emphasizes a flexible passenger setup, with its rear kitchen optional. Nomad’s slide-out kitchen and indoor-or-outdoor use are a defining feature. Touring adds a fixed cooler and 230V availability, but its seating and sleeping details should be confirmed against the exact specification.
What Tonke lists for the electric drivetrain
Tonke’s configurator lists a 100 kWh high-voltage battery, of which 90 kWh is effective capacity, a 150 kW motor, 11 kW AC charging and 110 kW DC charging. It also lists a Mode 3 Type 2 charging cable. These are manufacturer-listed specifications, not a promise of a particular journey time or real-world range. What range can an owner expect?
On Tonke’s customer-review page, owners Peter and Judith report “a range of 350 in winter to around 420 km in summer” when driving normally. This is an owner’s account reproduced by the manufacturer, not a controlled test: Tonke does not give a test protocol, route, load or other conditions that would make the figures a dependable prediction for another driver. Is the EQV set up for digital nomading?
The layouts and onboard equipment establish that these are camping-oriented conversions, but Tonke’s published descriptions do not demonstrate that any configuration is ready for sustained remote work. A kitchen, bed, 12V or 230V supply and an electric drivetrain do not, by themselves, establish a comfortable workday or enough energy for a particular laptop-and-device load.

Before choosing a build for regular work on the road, ask Tonke to specify the equipment and answer practical questions that the published descriptions leave open:
- Whether there is a usable desk or work surface and a comfortable seat for extended work.
- What power outlets are fitted, what loads they support and how long they can supply those loads while parked.
- How the vehicle is heated while stationary and what that means for energy use.
- Whether mobile coverage is adequate on the routes and in the places where you plan to work.
- How the intended passenger, camping and equipment load, along with climate and driving conditions, affect the range you need.
Prices: compare like with like
Tonke’s configurator currently shows starting prices excluding VAT, while its separate Touring model page gives a starting price including VAT. Those figures have different tax bases and may also reflect differences in date, market or specification; they are not a like-for-like comparison.

- Adventure: Consider it if passenger flexibility and a convertible three-seat rear bench matter, and you are comfortable treating the rear kitchen as an option.
- Nomad: Shortlist it if the slide-out kitchen, inside/outside use and optional pop-up roof suit the way you camp.
- Touring: Compare it if you want the listed fixed cooler and permanent 230V availability, and verify the exact seat count and bed dimensions before ordering.
For any of them, assess the completed vehicle against your actual travel and work needs rather than assuming that an electric camper specification establishes full-time remote-work capability.
