The feature’s appeal is the contrast between watching a racing legend work through a lap and hearing him discuss his Le Mans experience in the paddock. Broer says Kristensen explained his driving as they went; the report also includes a video interview, though it does not provide a full transcript of their exchange.
Why Kristensen said he was not at the car’s limit
Broer relays Kristensen’s estimate that he was using about 80% of the Porsche’s limit because the tires were not adequately warmed up. That figure is Kristensen’s explanation of the passenger hot lap as reported by Broer—not a measured performance result or a general assessment of how the car should be driven.

What Kristensen discussed—and the watch he wore
Broer says the conversation turned to Kristensen’s Le Mans races and his watch. The report identifies it as a white-gold Rolex Daytona Le Mans with a panda dial and a special engraving on the clasp. Rolex introduced the Daytona Le Mans for the 24 Hours of Le Mans centenary in 2023. Broer does not give a reference number or establish whether the watch is currently available.
Broer describes Kristensen as a nine-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, including six consecutive victories. In the same event background, he says Rolex has been a WEC partner since 2016 and is the official timepiece for endurance races in the series. That is the partnership description in the 2025 report, not confirmation of its present status.
