Which motorcycle Cruise rode
The model is the LiveWire S2 Del Mar, an electric motorcycle. Nieuwsmotor published that identification on August 12, 2024, and it is the only model-level attribution in the coverage reviewed for this article. Other reports describe the stunt without naming the model, so readers should treat “S2 Del Mar” as a specialist-press identification rather than a figure confirmed by several outlets.

The follow-on film sequence
Nieuwsmotor reports that a film followed the stadium exit and used the same electric motorcycle as part of the handoff story. This film is a separate piece of material from the live exit. Articles that say “Cruise rode the bike to Los Angeles” blur the two, so keep them apart when quoting or summarizing.

What the handover means for the 2028 Games
The stunt was a symbolic transfer. The Olympic Games move to Los Angeles in 2028, and LA28, the organizing committee, is the body that has since announced the ceremony plans.
On May 8, 2025, LA28 announced that the Olympic closing ceremony will be held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on July 30, 2028. LA28 Chairperson and President Casey Wasserman said: “The venues selected for the 2028 Opening and Closing Ceremonies will highlight Los Angeles’s rich sporting history and cutting-edge future, showcasing the very best that LA has to offer on the world stage.” The same announcement quotes Mayor Karen Bass: “Today’s announcement marks a proud milestone as the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum will become the first venue in history to host three Olympic Games.”

Who is producing the 2028 ceremonies
On October 30, 2025, LA28 announced that Ben Winston will serve as executive producer and creative director for the 2028 ceremonies, and that FulFive will be the production company. LA28 described Winston as the producer behind the 2024 Paris-to-Los Angeles handover, which is the direct link between the Paris stunt and the 2028 planning.
