Is it a real Ford Mustang GTD?
No evidence establishes that Hunt’s project is a production Mustang GTD. Ford describes its GTD as an aerodynamic, track-focused, street-legal model and calls it the fastest roadgoing Mustang. A body kit can change a car’s appearance; it does not by itself make the car a GTD or establish GTD mechanical parts, performance, track capability, or road legality. None of those attributes has been confirmed for Hunt’s project.
Can you make a Mustang look like a GTD?

But without confirmed fitment and parts information, it is not possible to say which Mustang generations the kit fits, what modifications installation requires, what it costs, or whether it is currently for sale. Check the manufacturer’s current listing and fitment details before treating any kit as suitable for a particular car.

Even a close visual resemblance would remain distinct from Ford’s production GTD. Ford’s Nürburgring achievement is background about the factory model, not evidence of the performance of a GTD-inspired conversion. Secondary coverage reported Ford CEO Jim Farley discussing the GTD’s under-seven-minute lap; that claim concerns the production-model effort, not Hunt’s car.
