It is not a production Harley-Davidson or a motorcycle with an extra wheel: Aaron Boss’s Road Glidester is a handmade, four-wheel land-speed car powered by a supercharged Harley-Davidson Milwaukee-Eight. A Harley dealer-published feature reports about 200 horsepower, but that figure is approximate, not a published dyno result.
What is the Road Glidester?
The Road Glidester is a one-off car built by Aaron Boss around a custom chassis and a Harley-Davidson engine. Boss described the project as a way to bring together his interests in belly-tanker racers, Bonneville and fabrication. Its motorcycle-derived powerplant is only one part of a purpose-built four-wheel machine, not evidence of a ready-made Harley car conversion.
Boss brought the car to a chopper show and explained the visual surprise this way: “I know it started as a chopper show, but to be the first person to show up with four wheels at a chopper show—that’s a statement.” (THE ROCK Harley-Davidson, May 14, 2024)
What engine does it use, and how much power does it make?
The May 2024 dealer-published feature identifies the engine as a 117-cubic-inch Milwaukee-Eight taken from a 2023 Road Glide ST and fitted with a ProCharger supercharger. It reports output of around 200 horsepower. A later feature repeats the 200-horsepower description, but the available coverage does not include a dyno sheet or independent power test; treat the number as reported output, not a verified measurement. How is the car configured?
Reports describe a mix of custom fabrication and specialist racing components. The named equipment includes adjustable suspension, power steering, a Winters Performance quick-change rear end, a Baker six-speed transmission with reverse, and a roof scoop. These are details of Boss’s individual build, not a parts list or fitment recommendation for an ordinary Harley or road car. (THE ROCK Harley-Davidson, May 14, 2024)
A July 2024 feature puts the vehicle at about 1,200 pounds. That is an approximate figure reported in the article, not an official weighed specification. (THE ROCK Harley-Davidson, July 30, 2024)

Has the Road Glidester set a land-speed record?
The coverage establishes land-speed ambitions, not a verified speed run or record by this car. The July 2024 headline’s “200+ MPH” framing refers to the project’s target or aspiration; it does not establish that the Road Glidester reached that speed. No documented timed run is reported in the available features.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is it street legal?
Street driving was a goal Boss discussed, but the reporting does not confirm that the car was registered or approved for public-road use. Boss acknowledged that getting California approval would be difficult. Without confirmation of registration or an applicable approval, it should not be described as street legal.
