What is the bike that wheelies by itself?
The Wheelie Fun Bike V1 is an electric pit bike from The Float Life. Unlike a conventional motorcycle’s wheelie-control system, which manages or limits front-wheel lift, the V1 is pitched as a bike that can actively bring the front wheel up and hold a wheelie. New Atlas reported the product announcement on August 1, 2025, and identified The Float Life and founder Jeff McCosker as associated with the project: New Atlas’s announcement coverage.

The manufacturer calls it the “first ever self-wheelie electric pitbike” and the “first ever bike with a self-balancing Wheelie Button.” Those phrases should be understood as marketing positioning; a comprehensive historical comparison has not established that it is literally the first. Aprilia’s official archive, for example, describes wheelie-control features on production motorcycles, including the 2017 RSV4’s adjustable AWC system. That is a related but different function from a pit bike designed to perform a wheelie: Aprilia’s 2017 RSV4 archive.
How are its wheelie modes supposed to work?

The maker says the rider activates this mode by pressing and holding a button. It describes leaning forward as a way to speed up the wheelie and leaning back as a way to slow it down. This is a feature description, not an independently verified riding or safety test.

The manufacturer says an app can adjust wheelie angle, riding modes, speed, and throttle and brake response. Consult the maker’s current instructions before riding; the available feature descriptions do not establish how the system behaves in every condition.
What speed, range, and power does the maker claim?
The manufacturer advertises more than 35 mph, more than 30 miles per charge, and more than 5,000 W peak power, with a 72 V, 10 Ah battery. These are manufacturer specifications, not independently measured results. The maker notes that final specifications may change. Range and speed figures should not be treated as guaranteed outcomes for every rider or route: the published material does not give independent test conditions for those advertised figures. Anyone comparing it with another electric pit bike should look at tested performance under comparable conditions as well as battery size, braking, suspension, weight, dimensions, equipment, app controls, repair support, and intended riding environment.

The maker lists front disc braking, an adjustable rear regenerative brake, front and rear suspension, and a custom tube frame. Its FAQ says the bike weighs about 95 lb and is not fully waterproof; it advises against heavy rain and submersion. The manufacturer labels the V1 for off-road use. That does not, by itself, settle whether a particular jurisdiction would classify, register, or permit it on public roads. The absence of a stock headlight is also a practical equipment consideration. Check local vehicle rules and required equipment with the relevant authority before considering road use.
How much does the Wheelie Fun Bike cost, and when is it expected?
At the product page’s last stated timeline update, September 11, 2026, the manufacturer listed a $2,995 preorder price against a displayed $3,499 price. It required a $299 deposit at checkout, with the remaining balance to be invoiced before shipment. The page estimated January 2027 shipping for orders placed then, said preorders would be filled by purchase date, and warned that production or supplier constraints could change timing. Price and delivery are volatile; check the current preorder page before placing an order.
