What is the Streetwing?
New Atlas described the Streetwing as a street-legal, three-wheeled electric vehicle registered as an “electric motorcycle.” Molnár’s stated ambition is to travel the Pan-American Highway and fly across the roadless Darién Gap. He put the idea plainly: “I’m positioning for exploration … Let’s just fly.”
The project is framed around travel and exploration, with racing also envisioned. Molnár has discussed single- or two-seat configurations, but the vehicle is deliberately focused on travel rather than creature comforts.
Can the Streetwing fly yet?
New Atlas’s May 7, 2025 account did not describe a completed flying car. The reported vehicle could travel on the road; the wings were for configuration, demonstration and storage, not yet attached for flight. Developing an airworthy airframe, flight equipment and a way to secure the wings for flight remained outstanding work.

The article describes a planned arrangement of two sets of 7-foot (2.1-metre) wings: forward canards and rear main wings. It also mentions solar charging and using the wings as a wind turbine while parked. These were design concepts, not verified operating capabilities.
The available report does not establish whether the Streetwing has flown since May 2025, received airworthiness approval or become available for sale. It is not an official certification record or test report.

What powertrain and range does the report describe?
In the configuration reported by New Atlas, a 52-kW Zero motorcycle motor powered the rear propeller, while an 8-kW hub motor powered the rear wheel. A Lightning Strike R motor was discussed as a possible future configuration, not as an installed component.

All figures in the table come from New Atlas’s May 7, 2025 article and should be read as reported project details or estimates, not independently confirmed specifications or test results. The report also quotes Molnár saying, “The Streetwing is much quieter … The motor can shut down entirely on landing and even reverse prop to slow. It makes more runways accessible.” That is his stated claim, not independently verified evidence of noise levels or runway access.

What the project’s status means for a potential buyer
The report presents the Streetwing as a development project, not an available vehicle. It does not establish current certification, sale availability, flight testing, partnerships or sponsorship terms. New Atlas reported that the project was self-funded and that Molnár was open to sponsorship proposals, but it did not provide verified current terms or a contact route.
