Who won the 2026 Rolex 24?
The No. 7 Porsche Penske Motorsport entry won overall, earning Porsche Penske its third consecutive overall victory at Daytona. Rolex’s January 25 report says the 64th running was decided by 1.569 seconds. Class winners were the No. 4 CrowdStrike Racing by APR in LMP2, the No. 1 Paul Miller Racing entry in GTD Pro, and the No. 57 Winward Racing entry in GTD. Rolex’s race report covers the results and race conditions.
A close finish after a difficult night
Rolex reported 228 drivers across a 60-car field. Thick mist covered the speedway from dusk until dawn, and a prolonged safety-car period began with 6 hours 30 minutes remaining. The race then ended with a sprint to the finish. The report describes attendance as a record but does not give a count, so no verified attendance figure is available there.

What is the Rolex 24, and how does it work?
The Rolex 24 is a 24-hour endurance race at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. Rankings are based on the distance each entry has covered when the allotted time ends, rather than a fixed number of laps. The circuit is 3.56 miles (5.73 kilometres) long and includes 31-degree banking, according to IMSA and Rolex’s respective event information.
In 2026, IMSA listed 60 entries across four classes. The classes group cars by their technical category, so several class battles unfold alongside the overall contest.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What is Rolex’s connection to the race?
Rolex supported the Daytona 3-Hour Continental from its first running in 1962 and became the race’s title sponsor in 1992. The company has served as IMSA’s Official Timekeeper since 2025. The event’s name reflects that title sponsorship; it does not make a watch necessary to follow or attend the race. More on the relationship appears on Rolex’s event page.
