The Performance Solutions Mosquito was announced in 2019 as a Czech track-focused supercar project with road-use ambitions. Contemporary reports described a V8-powered, carbon-fiber-bodied two-seater with a target weight below 1,000 kg, but its headline figures were plans—not independently tested production-car specifications. The available reporting does not establish whether the Mosquito was completed, homologated, or sold.
What was the Performance Solutions Mosquito?
The Mosquito was a proposed supercar from Czech company Performance Solutions. AutoWeek reported on 21 March 2019 that the project was named with reference to the Second World War aircraft. Coches.com, writing on 3 April 2019, said the car had been shown as digital renderings and described it as a mid-rear-engined, two-seat design intended for both track use and road homologation.
That description captures the project’s ambition, not proof of a finished road car. The 2019 reporting said key details—including the chassis and powertrain conception—were still unclear. No independent instrumented test results were reported.
What power and performance did it target?
The 2019 reports differ slightly in how they stated the proposed V8’s output. AutoWeek gave a 600 hp target. Coches.com reported at least 608 CV and 650 Nm, attributing those figures to the company and describing the engine as a naturally aspirated V8 of North American origin. Because the reports use different horsepower units and formulations, those figures should not be treated as identical or as confirmed output.

These are announced or projected specifications, not verified performance. Neither report supplies a measured acceleration run, top-speed test, or independent confirmation of engine output.
How light was it supposed to be?
AutoWeek reported a proposed mass of 974 kg. Coches.com described the planned carbon-fiber-bodied car as targeting a weight under 1,000 kg. Those are two contemporary formulations of the project’s weight goal; neither establishes the mass of a completed vehicle.

Was the Mosquito going to be road legal?
The project was described as track-focused, with road homologation intended. The 2019 reports do not show that homologation was achieved, so the Mosquito should not be described as a road-legal production car on this evidence.
How many were planned, and what would one cost?
Both AutoWeek and Coches.com reported a planned run of 18 cars. Coches.com said each was to be built to customer requirements and that the price was unknown at the time. Those were plans reported in 2019; actual production, sales, and current pricing have not been established.

Is the Mosquito a real production car now?
The available reporting establishes an announced project and renderings, not a completed or marketed production model. Le Blog Auto’s article, published in March 2019 and carrying search metadata indicating an update in December 2024, still referred to waiting for the real car; it does not verify a later build or sale. Current completion, homologation, production, and availability therefore remain unconfirmed.

The figures make the project sound exceptionally potent for its proposed weight, but they belong to a concept-stage announcement. Any comparison with established cars should label the Mosquito’s figures as targets and keep their units and qualifications intact. Without a completed car and independent testing, the proposed 2.9-second acceleration and roughly 320 km/h top speed cannot be compared as measured results.
