That is the manufacturer’s suggested retail price—not a final out-the-door total or a guaranteed dealer transaction price. Taxes, title, and license fees are extra.
What does the Mustang GTD cost?
Ford announced the $300,000 U.S. MSRP on August 17, 2023. The company’s price footnote specifies that taxes, title, and license fees are additional, so buyers should not treat $300,000 as the full amount due. Ford did not state a final transaction price in that announcement. Ford’s price announcement
Can buyers still apply to purchase one?
Ford described GTD production as very limited and cautioned that submitting an inquiry did not guarantee the ability to buy a car. In a May 22, 2024 update, Ford said its North American application window for the 2025 and 2026 model years had closed after attracting more than 7,500 applicants. Those historical details do not establish whether Ford currently accepts inquiries or what process a prospective buyer should follow today. Ford’s application update
What does the price buy?
Ford’s September 16, 2024 specifications for the 2025 Mustang GTD list a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 producing 815 horsepower certified for the U.S. and 664 lb-ft of torque, with a manufacturer-reported top speed of 202 mph. Ford also highlights active aerodynamics, carbon-ceramic brakes, and an inboard rear suspension with semi-active dampers. These are manufacturer-reported specifications, not independent test results.
