For new U.S. sport bikes, the strongest horsepower figure verified here is Kawasaki’s 2026 Ninja ZX-4RR ABS: 56.0 hp at 11,500 rpm, measured to ISO 4106. But its $9,999 base MSRP excludes a $650 destination charge, making the subtotal $10,649 before tax and other dealer costs. It is therefore not under a strict $10,000 destination-inclusive budget. Honda’s 2026 CBR650R E-Clutch is listed at $9,799 including destination, but the available Honda listing does not state a comparable horsepower figure. These listings identify useful candidates; they do not establish a definitive winner across all new and used bikes.
What does “under $10,000” mean?
Motorcycle prices can be compared on different bases: base MSRP, MSRP plus destination, or the final amount a buyer pays after taxes, registration, and dealer charges. Those are not interchangeable. The Kawasaki and Honda figures below are manufacturer-listed U.S. prices, not transaction prices or independent market valuations.
- Base MSRP: the manufacturer’s starting price before destination and other costs.
- MSRP plus destination: a more useful comparison for the listed delivery charge, but still not an out-the-door price.
- Final dealer cost: may include taxes, title, license, options, and dealer fees. Kawasaki says its dealer sets the actual retail price and that these costs are not included in base MSRP.
For a hard $10,000 ceiling that includes destination, the 2026 ZX-4RR does not qualify. Honda’s listed 2026 CBR650R E-Clutch total MSRP is below that threshold, though the listing alone does not establish its final dealer price. Kawasaki’s 2026 ZX-4RR listing and Honda’s U.S. sport-bike lineup provide the stated figures.

Which bike has the most power?
Among the comparable horsepower figures above, Kawasaki’s 2026 Ninja ZX-4RR ABS has the highest verified figure: 56.0 hp at 11,500 rpm, measured under ISO 4106. Kawasaki’s 2025 ZX-4R ABS is also listed at 56.0 hp at 11,500 rpm. The 2026 ZX-4R lineup result and Honda’s 2026 CBR650R E-Clutch listing do not provide horsepower figures, so those models cannot be ranked against the ZX-4RR on the available specifications.

That distinction matters: engine displacement, model name, and price do not substitute for a stated horsepower figure. Nor does a comparison of these few manufacturer pages establish a complete market ranking. It does not cover every current model or the used-bike market.
How model year changes the comparison
Kawasaki lists the 2026 ZX-4R ABS at $9,299 base MSRP, while its 2025 ZX-4R ABS listing gives an $8,999 MSRP and 56.0 hp at 11,500 rpm. The $300 difference is a comparison between listed prices for different model years, not evidence of a current discount or the price of a specific used motorcycle. Check the model year and the exact price basis before treating a listing as a budget match.

Why the ZX-10R is not a sub-$10,000 new-bike candidate
Kawasaki’s 2025 ZX-10R illustrates how far the power ceiling can rise outside this budget: the manufacturer lists 196.0 hp at 11,500 rpm and a $16,999 non-ABS MSRP. It is boundary context, not a qualifying under-$10,000 new option. The figure and price apply to the cited 2025 non-ABS listing. Kawasaki’s 2025 ZX-10R specification sheet
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What this comparison can—and cannot—tell you
If you mean under $10,000 in base MSRP, the 2026 ZX-4RR is listed just within that limit, and Kawasaki gives it a verified 56.0-hp figure. If your limit includes destination, its listed subtotal is over budget; the Honda CBR650R E-Clutch is listed below $10,000 including destination, but the cited Honda page does not provide horsepower for a direct comparison. If you mean a final out-the-door budget, get a dealer quote because taxes, registration, options, and dealer charges are not captured by these MSRP figures.

The evidence here is limited to selected 2025–2026 U.S. manufacturer listings. It does not establish the most powerful sport bike available used for less than $10,000, or a definitive power ranking of all new bikes in that price range. A used-bike answer would depend on current local asking or transaction prices as well as model year and verified power specifications.
