Which Lexus is turning 30 in 2026?
It is the Lexus LX, whose first model was the LX 450. Lexus identifies the LX 450 as its first entry into the SUV market. In a January 16, 2026 release, Lexus News Europe describes the LX as having 30 years of history and reports more than 600,000 LX vehicles sold across four generations over that period. That is Lexus’s cumulative figure for the LX nameplate, not a sales total for the LX 450 alone.
When did the Lexus LX 450 come out?
The answer depends on which milestone you mean: Lexus revealed the LX 450 in New York in 1995, then began selling it in 1996.
