The American-built sedan is no longer an ordinary sight. Crossovers have taken over showroom space, several long-running nameplates have been discontinued, and some cars sold in the U.S. are assembled overseas even when their brands operate American factories.
For this list, “US-made” means final assembly in the United States during the 2025 model year. It does not mean the automaker is American-owned or that every component comes from the United States. Assembly can vary by trim, powertrain, body style, production date, or vehicle source, so check the window sticker or VIN before treating a specific car as American-assembled.

10 US-assembled sedans and sedan-style cars available for 2025
These are the strongest current-production examples. The list includes one liftback because it occupies the compact-sedan role, even though its rear hatch makes it technically different from a traditional three-box sedan.
| Model | Type | US assembly location | Key 2025 qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Acura Integra | Five-door liftback | Marysville, Ohio | Technically a liftback, but a direct compact-sedan alternative |
| Acura TLX | Midsize sport sedan | Marysville, Ohio | Available in TLX, A-Spec, and Type S forms |
| Cadillac CT4 | Compact luxury sedan | Lansing, Michigan | Built at Lansing Grand River |
| Cadillac CT5 | Midsize luxury sedan | Lansing, Michigan | Produced at Lansing Grand River |
| Honda Accord | Midsize sedan | Marysville, Ohio | Available with gas or hybrid powertrains |
| Honda Civic Sedan | Compact sedan | Greensburg, Indiana, for applicable US-built examples | Verify the individual car’s assembly source |
| Hyundai Sonata | Midsize sedan | Montgomery, Alabama | Gasoline, N Line, and hybrid versions were offered |
| Kia K5 | Midsize sport sedan | West Point, Georgia, for US-assembled examples | Some US-market examples may be imported |
| Nissan Altima | Midsize sedan | Canton, Mississippi, with production history also involving Smyrna, Tennessee | Confirm the vehicle’s plant from its documentation |
| Toyota Camry | Midsize sedan | Georgetown, Kentucky | Every 2025 version is a hybrid |
1. Acura Integra
The 2025 Acura Integra is assembled at Honda’s Marysville, Ohio, operation. It is not a conventional sedan: its large rear hatch gives it five-door liftback bodywork. Still, its compact dimensions, seating layout, and market position make it one of the closest US-assembled alternatives to cars such as the Audi A3 or traditional compact sport sedans.
#1 Best Overall
- Highly detailed 1:24 scale diecast model kit of 1929 Ford Model A
- Comes with everything needed for assembly including screwdriver
- Features opening parts, rolling wheels and pre-painted metal body
- Easy to assemble, creates fully functional rolling replica model car
- Fun and educational STEM activity for kids to build realistic miniature vehicle
Power comes from a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, and higher trims add more performance-oriented equipment. The Integra is also one of the few cars in this group that combines a practical hatch opening with an available manual transmission. Buyers who specifically require a trunk rather than a hatch should count this as a near-match, not a literal sedan.
2. Acura TLX
Acura builds the TLX at Marysville, Ohio. The 2025 lineup includes the standard TLX, TLX A-Spec, and high-performance TLX Type S, giving the model a wider range than most remaining midsize sedans.
The TLX is aimed at buyers who want a sportier alternative to mainstream cars such as the Accord or Camry. The Type S brings a turbocharged V6 and performance hardware, while the regular versions place more emphasis on comfort and everyday usability. Its US assembly does not mean all parts are domestic, but the final manufacturing step takes place in Ohio.

The compact Cadillac CT4 is assembled at Lansing Grand River in Lansing, Michigan. It remains one of the few American-market luxury sedans positioned below the midsize class.
The CT4 offers rear-wheel-drive-based proportions and a more driver-focused character than many front-wheel-drive compact sedans. Buyers should distinguish it from the larger CT5: the CT4 is easier to place in tight parking spaces, but its rear seat and trunk are less generous. Cadillac’s 2025 availability can also depend on inventory and configuration, so shoppers should check current dealer stock rather than assume every trim is readily available.
4. Cadillac CT5
Cadillac’s CT5 is the larger companion to the CT4 and is also built at Lansing Grand River. Cadillac announced 2025 CT5 production for the Michigan plant, with production beginning in spring 2024.
The CT5 functions as a midsize luxury sedan with a choice of comfort-oriented and performance-oriented configurations. It is one of the clearest examples of a sedan still being produced in the United States by a Detroit-based automaker, although “American-made” should still be understood as an assembly description rather than a domestic-parts guarantee.
5. Honda Accord
Honda continues to assemble the Accord in Marysville, Ohio. The 2025 Accord Sedan is offered with both conventional gasoline power and Honda’s hybrid system, making it one of the broadest-usefulness cars on this list.
The Accord remains a sensible choice for buyers who need a roomy rear seat, a large trunk, and highway comfort without moving to an SUV. The hybrid is the efficiency-focused version, while the gasoline model provides a more familiar ownership proposition. As with other Honda products, the vehicle’s window sticker is the best way to confirm the assembly information for a particular car.
6. Honda Civic Sedan
Honda’s Indiana Auto Plant in Greensburg has produced Civic sedans since 2008, making the Civic one of the most recognizable compact cars assembled in the United States. However, it is too broad to say that every 2025 Civic Sedan was built in Indiana.

- Brand new box. True-to-scale detail. Detailed interior, exterior. Officially licensed product. Does not have any openings. Comes in plastic display showcase. Manufacturer's original unopened packaging. Made of diecast metal with some plastic parts. Dimensions approximately L-2.375 inches long.
Honda’s production sources can vary according to body style, powertrain, and production timing. A buyer looking for a US-assembled Civic should inspect the specific vehicle’s label or VIN instead of relying only on the model name. The Civic remains compelling for its efficient packaging, good fuel economy, and available sportier trims, but assembly location is a vehicle-specific question.
7. Hyundai Sonata
Hyundai builds the Sonata in Montgomery, Alabama, where Sonata production has been a central part of the plant’s history. The 2025 range includes six trims spanning standard gasoline models, the sportier N Line, and hybrid versions.
The Sonata is still a conventional midsize sedan with a spacious cabin and a long list of technology features. The N Line is the enthusiast-leaning option, while the hybrid is aimed at reducing fuel consumption without switching to an SUV. Trim availability and production timing can affect what a dealer has on hand, so shoppers should check the original vehicle label when US assembly matters.
8. Kia K5
Kia assembles K5 sedans at its West Point, Georgia, plant, but the qualification is important: not every 2025 K5 sold in the United States should automatically be assumed to have been built there. Kia has also sold imported examples into the US market.
The K5 is a midsize sedan with a fastback-like roofline and a sportier design than a typical family four-door. It competes with the Accord, Camry, Sonata, and Altima while offering a strong equipment list in many trims. Before buying, check the vehicle’s window sticker, which identifies the final assembly point for that specific car.

Nissan’s Canton, Mississippi, plant lists the Altima among its production models. The nameplate also has production history involving Nissan’s Smyrna, Tennessee, operation, so buyers should confirm the plant on the individual vehicle rather than treating every Altima as Canton-built.
The 2025 Altima remains a practical midsize sedan with an available all-wheel-drive configuration, a feature that distinguishes it from many mainstream competitors. It is especially relevant to shoppers who want sedan fuel economy and a lower seating position but still need additional traction in winter conditions.
10. Toyota Camry
Toyota builds the 2025 Camry at Georgetown, Kentucky. The new model marks a major mechanical change: all 2025 Camrys are hybrids. There is no gasoline-only 2025 Camry.
LE, SE, XLE, and XSE grades are available, with front-wheel drive or available all-wheel drive depending on configuration. The Camry remains one of the easiest cars on this list to recommend for buyers who prioritize a roomy cabin, predictable ownership, and fuel economy. Its Kentucky assembly is well documented, but domestic assembly and domestic parts content are still separate measurements.

Final assembly is only one part of a vehicle’s origin story. A car can be assembled in Ohio, Michigan, Alabama, or Kentucky while using components sourced from several countries. Conversely, an American-owned company can sell a vehicle assembled outside the United States.

- Great Product
For a more precise comparison, look at:
- Final assembly point: the country and plant where the vehicle was completed.
- Parts content: the proportion of vehicle components sourced from the United States and Canada.
- Engine and transmission origin: these may come from a different plant or country than the final assembly location.
- Battery sourcing: particularly important for hybrids and electric vehicles.
- Vehicle-specific documentation: the window sticker and VIN are more reliable than a model-level assumption.
How to verify a specific car before buying
- Ask the dealer for a photograph or PDF of the vehicle’s Monroney window sticker.
- Find the section identifying the final assembly point, usually listed with country-of-origin information.
- Compare that information with the VIN and the vehicle physically on the lot.
- Check whether the trim, engine, hybrid system, or body style changes the production source.
- If buying used or from leftover inventory, verify the model year separately from the calendar year of sale.
The 2025 Chevrolet Malibu is a special case
The Chevrolet Malibu deserves a note but not a place in the main current-production list. The 2025 Malibu was the final model year, and production reportedly ended in November 2024. That means a 2025-model Malibu could remain available from dealer inventory during calendar year 2025, but it was not being continuously produced throughout the 2025 model year.
It is therefore best described as an inventory-only exception rather than one of the ten actively produced US-assembled sedans available for 2025.
Models that should not be counted
The Chrysler 300 was discontinued after the 2023 model year, so it was not a 2025 option. The previous-generation four-door Dodge Charger also ended after 2023. Although a newer Charger nameplate returned, it represents a different generation and should not be presented as though the old sedan continued unchanged into 2025.

Is every 2025 Honda Civic Sedan built in Indiana?
No. Honda produces Civic sedans in Indiana, but production can vary by body style, powertrain, and production source. Check the specific car’s window sticker or VIN.
Is every 2025 Kia K5 built in Georgia?
No. Kia assembles K5 examples at West Point, Georgia, but some US-market 2025 K5s may be imported. Verify the individual vehicle.
Does the 2025 Toyota Camry have a non-hybrid version?
No. Toyota made the 2025 Camry exclusively hybrid. LE, SE, XLE, and XSE grades are available, with drivetrain choices varying by trim.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsThe Bottom Line
The 2025 US-assembled sedan market is small but not empty. The Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Hyundai Sonata, Kia K5, Nissan Altima, and Honda Civic cover the mainstream market, while the Acura Integra, Acura TLX, Cadillac CT4, and Cadillac CT5 serve buyers looking for something sportier or more upscale.
Do not use the badge alone as proof of American assembly. Production sources can differ within the same model line, and the 2025 Malibu is a leftover-inventory exception rather than a continuously produced car. For a definitive answer, inspect the window sticker or VIN of the exact vehicle you intend to purchase.
