Jeep’s U.S. site lists the 2026 Recon Moab, offers build and dealer links, and says limited quantities are available. That confirms an official model listing, not that every dealer has one in stock or that deliveries are widespread. The U.S. page lists a $66,995 starting MSRP; check with a local dealer for actual availability and pricing.
What Jeep currently lists
Jeep’s U.S. product page, accessed October 8, 2026, identifies the vehicle as the 2026 Recon Moab and advertises a $66,995 starting MSRP. The page says limited quantities are available. Its current Recon listing is the clearest answer to “Does the Jeep Recon still exist?” A model page and dealer links do not establish local inventory, completed deliveries, or a dealer’s transaction price.
Jeep Canada separately lists the 2026 Recon Moab starting at C$87,790. These are prices in different markets and currencies, with different pricing structures; they are not directly comparable transaction prices. Confirm the current figure and availability in your own market before making plans.
Why the Recon’s specs may look inconsistent
Jeep’s current U.S. page advertises up to 670 horsepower and 0–60 mph in 3.6 seconds. Those figures differ from the automaker’s November 19, 2025 launch announcement, which specified 650 horsepower, 620 lb-ft of torque, and 0–60 mph in as little as 3.7 seconds. Treat them as claims from different company sources and dates, rather than combining them into one specification set. Neither source is an independent test.

The launch announcement also described estimated range of up to 250 miles, depending on trim. That is a launch-era manufacturer estimate, not a current confirmed EPA rating or a measured real-world result. The sources cited here do not establish independent range, charging, road, or trail testing.
What Jeep announced about the Moab’s hardware
In its 2025 launch release, Jeep described standard electric four-wheel drive, front and rear 250-kW electric drive modules, a 100-kWh, 400-volt battery pack, and an electronic locking rear differential. Other specified hardware included an 11:1 front final drive, automatic front-axle disconnects, large-diameter half shafts, and battery protection. These are manufacturer-published details, not independently verified performance findings.

Jeep’s launch material listed Moab-specific 33-inch tires, 9.4 inches of ground clearance, and approach, departure, and breakover angles of 34, 34.5, and 23.5 degrees, respectively. It also described Selec-Terrain modes—Auto, Sport, Snow, Sand, and a Moab-specific Rock mode—plus low-speed Selec-Speed Control. The announcement characterized the Recon as Trail Rated; that branding is not a substitute for independent comparative testing.
Open-air design, cabin, and safety claims
Jeep said the Recon’s doors, rear-quarter glass, and swing-gate glass can be removed without tools. The launch release described a standard dual-pane sunroof or an optional Sky One-Touch Power Top, along with a full-size spare mounted at the rear. It also specified a 14.5-inch central display and a 12.3-inch driver display.

Jeep and Stellantis said the vehicle has more than 170 standard safety and security features; Jeep’s current U.S. page uses “over 170.” That is the manufacturer’s count, not an independent assessment of how those features perform or compare with another vehicle.

Jeep’s U.S. page says the Recon can be charged from a household outlet using an included dual-level charging cord. It also points to Free2move for finding and paying at public charging stations. For home charging, Jeep describes Qmerit installation support for either a NEMA 14-50 outlet or a 48-amp Level 2 residential charger rated up to 11.5 kW.

The page’s charging options do not establish how quickly a particular Recon will charge. Home charging depends on the vehicle’s equipment, the electrical service and charger configuration, and a suitable installation. The page does not identify or endorse a specific Level 2 charger model; confirm compatibility with the vehicle documentation and an electrician.
What prospective buyers should verify
The official listing answers whether the Recon remains a real Jeep product, but it is not enough to settle whether it is the right purchase. Before comparing it with another electric SUV or a conventional 4×4, check:
- Local price and inventory: Ask a dealer about an actual vehicle, order status, fees, and current terms.
- Rated and real-world range: Look for the applicable official range rating and independent results under conditions relevant to your driving.
- Charging: Confirm charging speeds, equipment, public charging access, and whether your home electrical setup supports the arrangement you want.
- Trail capability: Separate published hardware and Trail Rated branding from independent tests on terrain you expect to drive.
- Open-air use: Check which panels are removable, how removal and storage work, and whether the setup suits your climate and routine.
- Ownership support: Compare warranty terms, service access, and ongoing costs using current local information.
Jeep’s November 2025 announcement said production was planned for early the following year, but that is historical timing, not the best evidence of present availability. The current model listing is more relevant to status. Separately, Stellantis’s February 6, 2026 business reset discussed reduced EV-volume expectations and broader product strategy; it did not announce that the Recon was cancelled.
